I had been a week since the Cooks' tree had been set aflame.
In that week, Ray and Megan got really suspicious. After an extremely long discussion, they decided they didn't think it was serious enough to report to the police, so Megan and Raymond told Carrie about the blood on the stairs and on the mirror and how it disappeared quickly. Also in that week, other mishaps occurred such as banging sounds and scratching noises on the walls and messages written in blood throughout their house saying, "Beware" and "We're coming".
Megan and Ray were a little spooked, but they didn't show it around Alice. They did, and are doing, everything in their power to keep Alice safe.
COMING BACK TO THE PRESENT......
Carrie couldn't believe the information the Cooks' had revealed to her.
Carrie was at Fiona's house, along with Ben and Fiona. They were discussing the weird occurrences that have been happening lately.
"Who is it? Could it be a ghost?"
"No, Fiona. Please think about this logically." Carrie said, sternly.
"Well, you are reading that book on how to deal with ghosts, right?" Ben asked. He sipped his hot chocolate.
Carrie gave him a puzzled look. "Yeah...., so?"
"You could finish the book and read up on ghosts and such just to make sure this isn't a ghost doing all of this. You know, to eliminate the option of a spirit,"
"I guess I could research a bit,"
"Yeah! Let's start now!" Fiona said. Her eyes sparkled with excitement as she bit into a homemade gingerbread cookie.

After a few days of research, the trio came to the conclusion that a ghost is haunting the Cooks. They were tired and went to Arby's for lunch.
"I told you it was a ghost," Fiona smiled.
"I think it's a ghost, too. I mean, look at all of the evidence-- banging sounds, blood disappearing and reappearing, me getting thrown against the wall and choked, those are all sure signs of a haunting!" Carrie exclaimed. She took a bite of her french fries.
"But WHO is getting haunted? You or the Cooks'?" Ben asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Good question...." Carrie trailed off.
Carrie's phone started ringing. Fiona jumped at the phone placed on the red and black table.
"I got it!" Fiona didn't have a phone and was constantly playing with Carrie's.
She went outside to answer it.
When Fiona was finished with the call, she came back in with a pale face. Fiona gulped.
"Um, guys." She said, meekly.
Carrie and Ben looked up at her with furrowed eyebrows and worried expressions.
"I think we're all getting haunted,"
Carrie asked, "Why would you think that?"
"Because Ray just called and said that he needs us over there now-- Alice is being possessed.

The three friends got to the Cooks' home as quickly as possible.
When they arrived, the door was wide open. The house was strangely quiet. Carrie tiptoed her way in, leading her friends.
A million thoughts raced through her mind: Is Alice okay? What is possessing her? How can we help? Where are they? Why is it so quiet?
Then, the silence was filled with an ear-piercing shriek.
Carrie bolted upstairs. She saw Megan and Ray standing outside of Alice's doorway, banging on what seemed like the air. They were yelling and screaming and sobbing, by now.
"Wha-"
Megan cut her off. "There is some kind of forcefield around her room, we can't get in. All we can do is......is watch her suffer," Her eyes were red and wet with tears.
Carrie pushed through Alice's parents and pounded on the forcefield. "ALICE!!!"
Her body was up on the wall; she was hanging on it, crying. "Mommy!! Daddy, help!!"
Carrie tried pushing, banging, punching, but nothing worked.
Her heart broke as she heard Alice's sweet little voice filled with pain and desperation.
Something was pulling hard at Alice's hair, making her scream even more. Her petite body was thrust against the wall, again and again and again. She was hitting her head harder every time.
"My baby!!" Ray cried out in agony. Ray was shoving his body against the wall to break it to get into his daughter's room. Sadly, it wasn't working.
Ben squeezed Carrie's shoulder suddenly. His eyes were filled with tears. "Megan and I tried calling the police, but we can't call anyone-- the ghost must have cut the line,"
She turned around and hugged him tight. She whispered, "Thank you for trying,"
Then Carrie spun around, extremely angry at the ghost, and said to it, "Hey! You, filthy bastard! Don't touch her. If you want someone to hurt, hurt me."
Carrie stood her ground, her face determined.
Alice was dropped on the ground and everything stopped-- it seemed like the world was standing still.
Megan, Ray, Fiona, Ben and Carrie all looked at each other cautiously and with bewilderment.
The forcefield disappeared and everyone rushed to Alice. They started hugging her, kissing her, crying with her, etc.
Carrie lingered back a while to make sure the spirit or ghost wouldn't do anything. She was surprised that the spirit would give up so easily. Carrie then proceeded to Alice and cradled her, along with Megan and Ray.
"Sweet, sweet child," she whispered over and over again.

That same night, the doll, the Infector and the boy, under the spell, all met in the attic.
The Infector waved their hands over the boy while saying a spell. The boy jerked and shook. The Infector stopped the spell and the boy stopped shaking. He opened his eyes.
The doll waited expectantly nearby.
The boy grinned. "Hello, Master."
"My dear, dear boy! The spell has taken effect! You are now forever my servant and evil assistant," the Infector bellowed.
"I can't wait to see what my next mission is," he responded sinisterly.
The doll went up to the boy and said, "Initiation has its consequences,"
"What she means is, if you are to become my assistant, you must go through certain procedures."
"Whatever you say, Master," the boy bowed.
The doll pulled out her knife and went through the initiation process. She sliced the boy's forearms over and over. She smiled with satisfaction as she marked the boy with special indications of ownership.
Blood seeped out of his body, but he didn't care. He was the Infector's servant now. He was 100% pure evil.
He is going to do the unspeakable.
Soon.
