As evening fell on the kingdom of Monmouth the canvas of fairy lights illuminated the night festival below. A new band had moved to the stage as the town of trolls assembled in the square, running tables and chairs back and fourth as they prepared for the Bloom Festival feast. It wasn't long before Wiss and Kitt emerged from the castle carrying twelve sparkling pies each. They'd spent the entire afternoon making more pastries for the party (as if the town needed any more). While the air grew cooler the atmosphere grew warmer as the town assembled within the maze of tables.

The moment the Queen Bee and the Caterpillar King arrived, the town sprouted with even more joy, troll children running up to take Wiss's hands and grabbing Kitt's feet. As Wiss looked along the long winding trail of tables, she caught sight of Nalba who waved her over. There were two empty seats across from each other at the end of the line waiting for them. Kitt insisted on pushing Wiss's chair in for her. Admittedly, Wiss had expected Kitt to be sitting at the head of the table but...she knew that wasn't like him. He preferred not to be the centre of attention. As they took their seats Kitt kept his eyes on Wiss as she did to him. She felt as he lightly tapped the tip of her toes under the table. Wiss had never seen him so happy, nor had she ever felt so much joy.

Once nearly every troll (and human) had taken their seats, one elder troll got up and stood on the end of the table chain, his heavy wrinkled feet rumbling loudly. As he did so, the town grew silent as everyone turned their heads to watch him. This troll was definitely the oldest of all the trolls in town. Every crevice on his face was etched by thick wrinkles, his long hair matted and straw-like. He carried with him a sceptre that bore similarities to Marma's as he looked among his peers. Wiss wished Amma was here. It was then that Wiss noticed Sharth sitting right next to this elder troll and the two exchanged a glance. The elder troll was Sharth's family.

"Souls of Monmouth!" the troll shouted, lifting his hands into the air. The winds then seemed to whisper as if both the living and the dead were uniting that evening. He waited as he listened, a stillness filling the town. "I give you...the Bloom Festival feast!" And as the elder troll slammed the sceptre into the table, a giant cloud of sparkling dust covered the cloth and immediately raced down the maze of tables, covering each and every one. It looked like a shooting star and sounded like a cave of crystals - the town gasped with sheer awe. Once every table was covered, the dust suddenly lifted into the air, revealing an enormous arrangement of various dishes and treats. Jars of juice and wine were scattered amongst the steaming plates and napkins brushed through the air onto the laps of every occupant. Wiss was utterly starstruck. And as the square once again erupted with voices and music, it was time to eat.

Wiss didn't hold back as she filled her plate with various dishes and textures, making sure she had at least one slice of pie. Kitt then held up a bottle of wine and a jug of juice, raising his eyebrows at her. Nonverbal communication was key since even if one yelled, they most likely wouldn't be able to even hear themselves. Wiss loved it. She didn't hesitate as she pointed to the jug and Kitt smiled, filling her glass and handing it back to her. Wiss watched as he too filled his glass with juice. As the music jingled and the lights twinkled, Wiss happily tapped her feet against Kitt's under the table. She was wholeheartedly content. As she ate, she glanced down the table at the troll children who giggled loudly and used their breadsticks as swords. Monmouth had some future knights on their hands. Nalba then leaned over, offering a plate of gurlov to Wiss, winking. Wiss barely glanced at the plate as she scrunched her nose and shook her head. Luckily, she heard Nalba's booming laugh fill the air as she passed the plate around her.

Every so often Wiss and Kitt caught glances at one another. It was plain to see that both of them hadn't been able to stop thinking about their kiss earlier. Both caught each other staring at their lips. Needless to say, it had been a moment they'd both been waiting for for quite a while. They didn't exactly know what they were but they knew the spark was there.
