After so many years of writing this: I AM FINALLY FINISHED ! (When I say many years I mean that because I have been writing this since I was in my sophomore or junior year of high school and now I'm in my second year of college)
Originally in this story the Red X portion was only one of the major plot points, it was supposed to have another major plot about Raven and Jaime. But I scrapped the idea because of how long it took me just to finish this book. The plot line was that Jaime's gear stops working and asks Raven for help with it but she fails and then they find out that the Blue Beetle gear is being hacked and someone is trying to gain control over it.
But like I said, I gave up on the idea a while ago.
I am currently in the process of writing two other Raven centered book, one is called Birthright and is available and already one chapter in. The other one is called Human and isn't posted yet but hopefully it will be soon.
Neither of these new stories are sequels or anything of the sorts. They both takes place in an entirely different universes! It is still an AU but it will explore elements of Raven, her relationship with Damian and maybe others along the way.
What makes the Birthright story so different is that Raven's struggles or anything of the sort won't be so centered around her father. I tried to ditch that narrative and come up with something new. At the core, she's still Raven and a hero but now she'll be doing much more with her powers and fulling accepting that fact that she's a demon, even at some point I plan on letting her use her full demon form and accessing much more of her power and potential without worrying about her father or viewing herself as someone entirely different.
While in Human, Raven has lost her powers and is struggling with that lost and trying to become a regular Human without relying on anything of her powers. But, her body is acting weird and dead birds keep coming, raven birds are following her and even ghosts are trying to communicate with her.
Both these stories I'm trying to write Raven as the girl I think she could become if DC didn't keep up with the same plot of her and her father. It's repetitive!
