I woke up covered in sweat. It was almost like I was drowning so wet was I, but instead of waking up in the comforts of your own bed, I woke up behind a desk. Where was I? Am I still dreaming? I pinched myself lightly, I felt a stinge. I wasn't sure if I was happy with this discovery, as waking up wouldn't be such a bad alternative. I looked around for clues: There must be something lying around here, something I can recognize. After looking for a few minutes in the classroom I noticed that the door which was shut wasn't locked. I doubted if it was the best of ideas to leave the safety of the classroom, for the unknown of the outside, but staying here wasn't really an option either. I pushed the handle of the door and entered a dark hallway. Strangely was at the other side light and I could hear the chatter. I would be quite stupid just going to a strange place without scanning it first, but yeah... I wouldn't either want to stay here forever. I walked towards the light and was blinded for a bit I entered a room, which looked like a gym, but there were people, almost a dozen of them around my age...

The people in the room were distinctively and almost stereotypically, you got the tough biker dude, the teen popstar, the cocky rich lad and I could go on for some time. I looked for one who wasn't in the middle of a conversation to know more about why we're here. I saw one girl isolating herself from the rest of the group: She was pretty tall for a girl and had two large pigtails. Another thing which stood out was the freckles on her face. I walked towards her and introduced me to her: "Hey, how are you, I'm Kitaka Moto, friends call me KitKat, and you are?" I said, showing a friendly smile towards her. In her expression, I could read some doubt. She hesitated for a moment before saying: "Hello, I'm Junko Enoshima, Ultimate Fashionista, nice to meet you. What is your talent actually?". I was in doubt for a bit, should I tell her the truth or will I play it safe to survive. I decided to not show my full hand and came up with a lie. I explained to her that I was the Ultimate Friend and that people always seem to like me, no matter what. She looked at me, as she could read my bluff, but then just replied with "Ooh that's so nice, knowing you will be liked by everyone". We continued our small-talk for some time before an unknown creature entered the room...

The small bear entered the gym, he was black-and-white. His grin gave me the shivers for some moment, as it seems like he had two faces, even two personalities. The room filled with shock. The bear climbed up on the small podium in one of the corners of the podium. "Good morning students! I'm the principal of this school, the one and only Monokuma. You seem quite shocked or not, like what the hell is that thing. Get that out of your head. If you see me on this podium in the morning, you will greet me with good morning principal". In the corner of my eye, I saw a boy, dressed in what seems like military clothes, immediately greeting the principal in a bowing stance. "Where was I... " Monokuma continued, "Oh yeah, how long you will stay here you might ask. The answer is the rest of your life". I saw a smaller boy shocked as a red-haired guy said that he can't be serious. The biker dude also yelled that it was some kind of sick joke. "So that's why there are all metal doors, to keep us in?" The popstar asked. "You got it all correct," Monokuma said. "But don't worry, we have enough resources to let you live here happily and forever." The whole room was shocked, except for one girl. She had a mysterious vibe hanging around her, complimented by her purple hair and gloves and just stood there stoically, almost like she was looking for clues about this place. "There is a way to leave this facility earlier" Monokuma continued. "And that is? Enlighten us!" was said by the rich snob. "Old fashioned murder" The bear yelled. He explained to us, if someone kills one of us and gets away with it, that one will get a one trip exit towards freedom. "You're sick" I yelled, "You don't think we're fucking gonna play a real-life version of Cluedo!" I said in disgust. "We'll see!" the bear laughed cynically before leaving the gym.
