The first trial (part 2)

"Okay," Byakuya snubbed, "If Kitaki isn't the culprit it is quite clear, Sayaka has something to do with it." "We can't already say she's the murderer", I countered, "We don't have any significant evidence yet". I already knew she was innocent, but the truth was, that she's the one who brought the murder weapon unknowingly to the place of the murder. "Maybe we shouldn't look immediately for the murder, but look at how the weapon did come here" Kyoko said. "There was a knife missing," Aoi said. The group agreed. "So we know then, that the murder weapon was taken from the kitchen, but the time is still unknown" I stated. "That's where ur wrong" Celestia countered, "As I was the first in the dining room, I grabbed the cutlery as first and I noticed everything was complete. That means the knife was grabbed this morning, mere minutes or at last an hour before the murder." "There was something off too" Kyoko added, at the moment before Kitaki left, Aoi noticed a knife missing and not long later Sayaka left too, that makes it likely on of you two took the knife with you." I had to prove now, that it wasn't me who took the knife from the kitchen, I took a deep breath and thought for a few moments and then it came up...

"Before I went to shower, I wore a sports kit, short sleeves with short pants, It would be impossible to smuggle the knife with me as I didn't have pockets." "But what if you had hidden it in your pants?" Hifumi suggested. "That would be not only stupid but also would make me have some cuts on my legs, as the knife was razor-sharp and when I stood there in my boxers in the hallway, my legs were totally scar-free." I saw the group around me agreeing, except one of them, Sayaka. She knew the target was on her back for now and she had to confess a lot to make them believe in her again. "So that leaves only one other suspect," Kyoko said coldly "Any words to say Sayaka?".  She froze, "I-I wasn't the murderer", she said. "The knife says otherwise" Byakuya countered, "Did you take the knife?". I looked at her and made quick eye-contact. She had to confess now, for everyone's sake, I would defend her after that. Sayaka reluctantly confessed, "But I didn't kill Hagakure". "Yeah right..." Leon added,  "Got any proof?" "I have" I yelled, "I was with Sayaka at the time of the murder". The class looked in disbelief. "But why was Sayaka with a knife so close to you then, did she try to murder you?" Makoto asked. I explained the story of her being afraid and us swapping rooms, unknowingly giving up my shower privileges. They agreed with me for now...  "The knife left the room and entered the hallway" I suggested, "The two people in the hallway, Hagakure and the culprit, got in some type of conflict and at that moment Hagakure was stabbed to death with it." "So we can already eliminate some people for now," Kyoko added. "If the story is true, Kitaki and Sayaka are safe, same is for Junko, as she was still in the infirmary." After her saying this, a loud bell rang. "It's half-time" he laughed, "time for another investigation!" I was relieved but also not sure what to expect now, as we all left the room.
