chapter 3: Do you wanna build a snowman

Bridgette knocks on Marinette's door feeling a bit lonely.

"DO YOU WANT TO BUILD A SNOWMAN? COME ON LET’S GO AND PLAY" she sings peeking under the door. "I NEVER SEE YOU ANYMORE. COME OUT THE DOOR. IT’S LIKE YOU’VE GONE AWAY"

Bridgette is in her room playing with two dolls she gives up feeling a little sad.

"WE USED TO BE BEST BUDDIES AND NOW WE’RE NOT. I WISH YOU WOULD TELL ME WHY" she sings sadly.

Bridgette peeks through the key hole of Marinette's door. 

"DO YOU WANT TO BUILD A SNOWMAN?"she calls through the keyhole. "IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE A SNOWMAN./"

"Go away, Bridgette" Marinette shouts through the door.

"OKAY BYE" Bridgette sings heartbroken

-BEHIND THE DOOR — DURING THE DAY.

Marinette sits at the window looking out, longingly. Suddenly, her icy hands freeze the windowsill.

-LATER.

The King slips black leather gloves onto Marinette's hands.

"The gloves will help.l" the king says pating her gloved hand."See? You’re good.... (starting their mantra)Conceal it. "

"Don’t feel it"  Marinette says after him.

"Don’t let it show" they say at the same time.

....

Bridgette, now 9, knocks on Marinette's door.

"DO YOU WANT TO BUILD A SNOWMAN?" She sings

...

Alone, Bridgette rides a bicycle built for two in the hall by standing on the back seat.

"OR RIDE OUR BIKE AROUND THE HALL?I THINK SOME COMPANY IS OVERDUE..." She sings sadly.

...

Bridgette runs around the portrait room, gaining momentum to flip over the arm of the couch.

"I’VE STARTED TALKING TO THE PICTURES ON THE WALLS" she sings.

Anna lands PLOP on the cushions, then looks up at the painting above her of the courageous Joan of Arc.

"Hang in there, Joan." She says pointing at the picture.

...

She walks around the empty library.

"Looks like no one’s around" she whispers to herself.

"IT GETS A LITTLE LONELYALL THESE EMPTY ROOMS" she sings.

....

Bridgette is now laying at the base of the grandfather clock, playing with her braids, bored out of her mind.

"JUST WATCHING THE HOURS TICK BY" she sings eyes following the grandfather clock’s pendulum."TICK TOCK. TICK TOCK. TICK TOCK."

Marinette (now 12) paces as she panics. The entire wall is frozen behind her.

"I’m scared. It’s getting stronger" she says panicking.

"Getting upset only makes it worse" The King says going to hug her.

"No. Don’t touch me" she shouts before putting on a sad look. "I don’t want to hurt you"

The king and the Queen look at each other with alarmed sadness.

....

Bridgette, now a teenager, slides past Marinette's room without stopping.

....

Bridgette runs into her parents room and throws herself into her parents’ arms.

"See you in two weeks"

...

Marinette curtsies in front of her parents, formally, not touching them.

"Do you have to go?" She asks.

"You’ll be fine, Marinette"

....

The King and Queen leave on a ship. -

...

Lightning flashes. The sea rages in a storm. The King and Queen’s ship is lost in the waves.

....

A portrait of the King and Queen is covered in mourning cloth.

....

Bridgette looks small, standing before her people, beside burial stones.

.....

Bridgette, still in her mourning clothes, approaches and knocks on Marinette's door. "Mari?"

"PLEASE I KNOW YOU’RE IN THERE PEOPLE ARE ASKING WHERE YOU’VE BEENTHEY SAY HAVE COURAGE AND I’M TRYING TOI’M RIGHT OUT HERE FOR YOU.PLEASE LET ME IN"

Bridgette slides down the door and sits with her head against it.

"WE ONLY HAVE EACH OTHER. IT’S JUST YOU AND ME. WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO?" She sings. "DO YOU WANT TO BUILD A SNOWMAN?,"

Marinette is sitting in the exact same pose as Bridgette. Her bedroom is frozen with ice. Snowflakes hang in the air, suspended by grief.

Another chapter done. I will be honest this is going quicker than I thought. Maybe I'll make the dead line. All that's left is to make a cover page. Wish me luck and please vote and comment.
