Flashback before the narrator summoned the four heroes:

A portal connected towards the underworld opened as the narrator went inside.
Frowning, the narrator went to his old rival and friend, the Grim Reaper. He asked for help and told the Grim Reaper everything that had happened. The Grim Reaper burst into laughter, " why are you so foolish my friend? " The Grim Reaper asked the narrator with a sarcastic tone. The narrator just shrugged, he was too stressed to mind the Grim Reaper's childish plays and annoyance.
The Grim Reaper then told him about the heroes. That's when an idea came into the narrator's mind, how about summoning the heroes to help him with his quest? He thought. A grin  plastered on the narrator's face as he thought it was a brilliant idea. He thanked the Grim Reaper for giving him such a brilliant idea. The narrator immediately went back to his library to find the record of heroes. And He then found it!
He looked at his record of heroes, as he caught a very unique names on his list of heroes. " Jeff, Meliodas and Asher. I shall summon these three mighty heroes to run the quest for me. " He said. The narrator looked at the heroes classes and they were all sword users. That's when narrator thought something was missing, ah! A mage. Searching in his books of heroes, narrator couldn't find a mage.
The narrator was frustrated and searched all the list of mages in his book but unfortunately he couldn't find one that suited his taste. After a few hours of thinking what to do narrator suddenly remembered his daughter or should we say his own creation, Ice. She was a mage apprentice. Narrator was having second thoughts about summoning his daughter but also part of his mind was telling him that it'll be beneficial for his daughter in many ways.

End of the flashbacks:

The narrator started the ritual of summoning the four chosen heroes for the quest of finding the creatures and locking them back  inside his book. He made sure that they have no memories of their pasts before summoning them straight into the forest of insanity.
