(omg this song brings me back to Teen Beach Movie, brb going to go watch it)

"Yeah... it's Lila. That's her name..." What else did Zander tell her about? That was a personal thing, I didn't want anyone else knowing about it besides him.

"If it's okay, may I ask what happened?"

"Umm..." I take a deep breath. "She was in a toxic, abusive relationship, I had no idea about it. I did question her relationship, but the thought never came to me. Well, one day her boyfriend came home drunk and things took a turn... and she ended up dying." I hate talking about this.

"Oh... I'm so sorry."

"It's okay... I'm actually starting to accept that she's gone now."

"Taya, I think I can help you."

"What do you mean?" How could she possibly help me with this?

"Well if I took a quick look in the file room for recent angels, I could find Lila, she actually probably lives in the city." How did I not realize this before? She's the Queen of Angels, of course, Lila's here! We're in heaven!

"Uriel... That would-that would be, I can't even think of a word to say how happy I am!" The thought of seeing Lila again after so long makes me so happy, but also scared. What if she forgot me? What if she hates me now?

"It would be my pleasure... Can I tell you something Taya?" we walk deeper into the garden and the hedge walls open up to an even bigger area. The walkway goes down some slanted stairs and straightens out, then leads to a nice water fountain in the center of the area.

"Of course." I spot Zander on one of the grassy hills and he rolls down it with Naveah. Not a kid person my ass.

"You have a special relationship with my son... I've never seen him act so affectionate to someone, not even me."

"Zander..." I watch him as he laughs as he rolls in the grass with Naveah. "He's something alright."

"He is."

"So... When can I see Lila?" I ask, changing the subject.

"Tomorrow before dance rehearsals could work."

"Rehearsals?"

"Of course, we need you and Zander to get familiar with the dance. You will be performing in front of hundreds." Hundreds? Fuck me.

Zander and I finally make it back to our room, we have about an hour before we need to leave again.

"What were you and my Mom talking about?" he asks me and sits down on the bed.

"Well... she offered for me to see Lila."

"Really?" he raises his eyebrows.

"Yeah... I'm kind of nervous, what should I say to her?"

"Hi."

"Wow, that's-that's great advice."

"I'm professional in communication," he smiles like a dork. "By the way, you look great in that dress." Him and his compliments.

"Thank you and you look nice and yours, although the hat would've made it better."

"There's no fucking way, Taya, you do not understand. That hat made me look so absurd!"

"You would've looked cute..." I say quietly and he smiles even more.

"I already look cute."

"Noooo!" In a quick move, he grabs me by the waist and pulls me into him, then he moves me onto the bed. He kisses my neck and I squeal.
