Leaving Day

Hi, my name is Hayden. My mom always told me that love is just four letters that can either make you or break you, its your choice. Today me ,my mom, dad and my sister are leaving to drop me off at school for the year. I go to a boarding school (more like a jail), I've been going here since the 7th grade and i'm a Jr. now. While driving up to campus we were listening to the radio and Ed Sheeran was playing (i love him).  I got a text from my bestfriend/ roommate Hazel,

Hazel: Hey girl hurry your ass up i've been waiting for you to get here for like a hour! We got a senior room!

Me: Im coming calm your self. Omg i cant believe Mrs. Munden actually let us have it! We're only jr's.

Hazel: Ikr. Okay i have to go meet Reef at his dorm. See you soon call me when you get here. Love you!

Me: No PDA okay Hazel, I dont need  to hear you got  pregnant. I'll call you, see you soon. Love you too.

When we got on campus my dad was driving and he was talking to the security gaurd at the main gate, I had my earbuds in, my ittle sister Mallory was playing on her phone and my mom was crying because of how sad she was going to be not having her "baby" at home anymore. When we started to drive up the hill my mom started to talk to me.

"You know Hayden, Love is just four letters that can either make you or break you. I want it to be your choice if you want it to make your or break you. 

 I dont want you to keep your relationships a secret from me or your dad."

"I know mom you tell me this all the time. I know it will make me or break me and I will choose on what it will do to me. And dont worry i will tell you if i get a boyfriend."

There was so much traffic going up to the dorms becuase it was everyone was moving in today. After me and my moms conversation there was silence. Just silence, nothing bad but good silence. I had a lot of time to think within that silence. I thought about how I have to follow the dumb rules, how I have to see my ex-boyfriend Asher, that I have to see my worst enimy Makenzie and her little pet Evarista, and if I will get a new boyfriend this year. I was broken from my thoughts by my dad yelling at me to help him get my things out of the back of the rental car, but before I could help him all i could fell was getting hugged by someone. When i turned after the person let me go i see that it was Hazel, she was so happy and smily. "HI Hazel, OMG i missed you so much over summer i need to tell you so much about the trip i took"

I told Hazel. "OMG i missed you to and you need to tell me everything like did you get some" she said. "Shut up dont say those kind of things my parents are right there you dumby."

"Okay sorry ruby tuesday." After me and Hazel talked she said hi to my parents and helped me bring my things into our room.

When we got everything to the room I told my parents and sister bye and me and Hazel started to unpack my things to my liking.  After we unpacked everything we put up all of our surf posters and pictures of pro surfers and went out to meet up with Reef and his friends.
