DEAR ENEMY: PART 2

Chapter 01

It has been two month since I am back. I was busy almost everyday. Meeting old friends and relatives packed my whole schedule that I had no time to think about what to do next . Of course I have a goal in my mind but I am a rookie. I have no clue about how to start. 

To decide upon how to start I decided to have a talk with my father. He is the best choice. We decided to schedule the meeting after having our breakfast because everyone will be present.

After eating a wholesome breakfast, my family gathered at the living room. Everyone settled  themselves on the comfy sofa and were ready, for me to start the meeting.

"Eomma and Appa, its been two months I am here and I have not started any form of work. I have a dream to follow and I hope you both support me." I started the meeting while highlighting the topic for today's session.

"I have already informed you that I want to take over the IT sector of Appa's company and I think I am ready to take over it. I just need some help to start off." I said with full of confidence ready to take over my father's company but my father interrupted me.

"Sweetheart, you are overconfident. You may have graduated from a prestigious university but this is not as easy as you think. I am sorry but I just cannot let you take over until I think you are ready."Appa replied. My mood changed drastically. I hoped that he would immediately let me take over but it has turned out completely different I suppose but I would not give up so easily on such a debate.

" Appa I am not asking you to hand me over the whole company, I want to take over just one sector so I can develop." I replied trying to explain him what are my plans for the future. 

"I am sorry Hyerin but I cannot take a risk." Appa replied.

"I think he is right Hyerin. Appa has not handed even me any sector of the company till now. It has been four years since I am working alongside him. Even I am still not confident about handling even a sector. Its a complicated business. You need some experience. " Oppa  added. I had no choice but to accept their decline.

"Fine, I understand." I replied and sighed. I need to change my plans before I could take over. I was in a deep thought when an idea struck me.

"Why do not I work with you Appa instead ?" I asked him hoping he would accept this offer.

"NO, you cannot. If you want me to hand you over a whole sector, you need to work independently. If you work with me, you will not develop. I will always be there to help you. You will not learn anything on your own." Appa replied disagreeing with my idea.

"Then what do you expect from me. Should I sit idly doing nothing?"  I asked in a sarcastic tone while gritting my teeth trying to control my anger.

"Hyerin, I do not mean to hurt you. You can work." He said when my mood lightened up a bit.

"But you can work at one of my friend's company. You can work as an assistant director but you need to pass the interview first. I will talk with him and set up an appointment for you day after tomorrow." He said. WHAT THE HELL? Do I have to work with some old geek? Do I have to handle mood swings of old people?

"But...." I was about to object when eomma objected. "No buts Hyerin. Appa has to leave for work or else he will be late." She said. I was shooked by her reply that my jaw almost touched the ground. I thought at least she was on my team.

"You have two days time Hyerin to prepare yourself. Do not waste your time. I am warning you the interview wont be that easy as you think." He replied and left for work. The whole world crashed upon me. There was a rush of depressed thoughts flowing in my brain. I am stuck!!!!
