"Hey, hey hey! Have you already heard the news?"
"What news?"
"Apparently, Lee Taeyong and that new girl are dating."
"Eey! You're lying."
"No, i'm not! I saw them holding hands while entering the school gate earlier."
"Whoa! Are you serious?"
"For real? Daebak!"
"She's very lucky. What's the girl's name again?"
"Kim Jisoo."
Jennie stopped on her heels and turned around after hearing the gossips. She furrowed her eyebrows, not sure what to feel with the sudden news. Was it even true? There was only one way to find out.
Jennie went to the third year classrooms. She roamed their corridors for a while after finding her brother's class. She moved to stand on the entrance. The seniors who spotted her immediately recognized her. The baseball captain's sister and the chic freshman troublemaker.
"Jinhwan-ah, isn't that your sister?" Hoseok nudged Jinhwan who looked up from his notes.
Jinhwan met his sister's gaze. "Jennie?"
"We need to talk." Was all Jennie had to say before walking away from the gathering crowd.
The siblings went to the school rooftop, a place inside the school where they could truly call it their own. Jennie looked down and spotted some sports clubs finishing their morning practices.
"What is it Jen?" Jinhwan asked, burying his hands inside his pockets. "It was rare for you to visit me in my class. Is there something wrong?"
"You and your friends went to school together earlier, right?"
Jinhwan smiled awkwardly. "They're your friends too, you know."
Jennie glared at her brother. "I don't have idiots for friends."
Jinhwan chuckled. "Yeah, we went to school together, why?"
"Have you already heard the gossips?" Jennie asked.
Jinhwan's smile vanished, turning it into a frown. "Yeah. I witnessed it first hand."
Jennie's cat-like eyes widened. "So it's true? Those two are dating now?"
Jinhwan sighed. "To be honest, i refused to believe the rumour but when i pulled Bobby earlier into a corner to confirm it, he told us what was really going on." Jinhwan scoffed. "The bastard knew all along. He didn't even bother telling us."
"Seriously?" Jennie laughed, amused of her new friend's gut to date one of the complicated guys in their school. "What did the other guys say?"
"Well, first of all, Bobby seemed nonchalant about it. He even brushed it off like it was not his or anyone's business." Jinhwan clacked his tongue. "That asshole. Hanbin was the most upset of all. He kept glaring at Taeyong since we arrived at the train station."
Jinhwan paused when he heard nothing from his sister. He might've realized his mistake since he immediately caught on.
"Don't misunderstand. Hanbin is that kind of guy. He finds Jisoo's company comfortable since he grew up in a household with only women in it."
"That doesn't make me feel any better." Jennie glared.
Jinhwan immediately pursed his lips. How dare him. She's a girl too after all. Why couldn't she get close to Hanbin like Jisoo does? Ah! She almost forgot. Her feelings for him got the better of her. She was a coward to the point that she couldn't even talk to him properly. She would always snobbed at him and his friends whenever they visit her brother. She had to admit, she was also a complicated person.
