Mixed feelings

You suddenly wake up your eyes open wide to the dim light that surrounds your vision, heavily breathing trying to calm yourself from that strange dream you just had, something about Merry Poppins rescuing you from doom?

"Why does my body hurt so much?" You questioned. You couldn't move a lot because of the pain and tight bandages around some parts of your body. Feeling confused and exhausted you try to remember what happened before you ended up here in this room.

Then a sound of a door opened and a familiar voice came into the room "I see your awake, that is a relief."

It is Mrs Maheswaran can only mean one thing, I'm at the hospital you thought. "Hopefully you can stay awake for while." She said.

"What do you mean? What's going on here?" You ask.

"You have been in and out of consciousness for a few days now." She said.

"A few days! For how long?" You exclaimed.

"About Three days, almost four days." Mrs Maheswaran explained. "Hey just breathe ok for me ok?"

To ease your mind you take a deep breath to process everything. "Who brought me here?" You ask.

"Someone by the name Rainbow I believe. Well actually it just Steven and Pearl they where a fusion or something. I don't really know I still don't understand that gem stuff that my daughter is getting involved with these days, it just to confusing for me." Mrs Maheswaran said.

"Rainbow... that's right he saved me but then I blacked out not long after. You slowly start to remember everything that happened. The corrupted gems attack and you being pushed off a cliff, that felt unpleasant.

"Well anyways you should get some rest, try and not over think, and definitely try and not get up your already badly hurt as it is, and if your still awake your friends should be here in less in half an hour to come visit." She explained and continued. Oh and I'll get one of the nurses to bring in a meal over for you, you must be hungry." Mrs Maheswaran said.

"Oh ok, thanks." You replied back. Mrs Maheswaran leaves your room. You start to feel more awake but you also feel more pain. Trying to take your mind off it, thinking about Pearl and Steven's fusion. You remember seeing a glimpse of Rainbow on what he looked like and the sound of his British accent now when you think about it he seemed really dreamy. But you didn't know him well, but in a strange way you wanted to become friends if that was even possible.

A little while later you hear some people coming in through the door. It was Steven, Connie, Pearl, Amethyst and Garnet! They all said hello.

"Where glad your finally awake [y/n]." Steven and Connie exclaimed, with smiles.

"Glad to see you guys to." You say with a weak smile.

"Hey dude please don't scare us like that! You made us super worried." Amethyst exclaimed.

"I'm sorry guys I didn't mean to make you worry." Looking around at all the faces that had looks, of being half worried and half relief.

"No, if anything it was our fault for letting that happen to you where the ones that should be sorry." Said Pearl.

"I agree with Pearl we should take full responsibility for your safety, we should've been taking care of you and not letting you get hurt like this." Replied Garnet. Talking a sigh.
