Jungkook and others had a flight, before leaving they wanted to meet Taehyung but he was nowhere to be seen, his phone was switched off, he was not in his room either, and there were no trace marks of Taehyung.
They all tried their best to contact Taehyung but they failed. Jungkook was trying really hard to hide his tears but he understood that Taehyung is not coming back to him.
They finally gave up.
Jungkook's eyes shifted to the side again in hope of Taehyung but there was no sign of him. His eyes became glazed with a glassy layer of tears. As he blinked, they dripped from his eyelids and slid down his cheeks. He bit her lip tightly in an attempt to hide any sound that wanted to escape from his mouth; his heart sank. He sat in the cab and was the first one off to the airport.
Sitting in the plane, Jungkook tried best to behave normally like nothing happened to him. He didn't want his friends to know about anything. But the tears flowed unchecked down his cheeks and dripped from his chin when he looked outside the window. He can't do anything, he was helpless but still he managed to calm himself down and masked a smile.

Taehyung left the resort without telling anyone before his friends departure. He didn't have the courage to face anyone, especially Jungkook. He didn't have that strength to hold him in his arms and say 'I'm here'. He was a coward. His eyes suddenly swam with tears while sitting on a bench of a park.
The trees sway, in the blackest night. Leaves scurried along the path and the breeze was keen. The tracks curled above like the spines of the weary, tracks held aloft for the screams of the loneliness.
The temperature seemed to drop, sending chills up Taehyung's spine. The weather was drab and bleak, which just made the atmosphere more unnerving. Only a glowing sphere of the moon was visible through the clouds. The moon hid behind it, trying and failing to break through.
Taehyung's eyes were heavy with tears. His walls, the walls that hold him up, made him strong just... collapse. Moment by moment, they fall, salty drops fall from his chin. He cried there was a rawness to it, like the pain was still an open wound.
He clasp onto the sides of the bench for support, his whole body was shaking. The sobs were stifled at first as he attempted to hide his grief, but the wave of his emotions came and he broke down entirely, all his defences washed away in those salty tears.
And then he saw himself sitting on a bench in a park waiting for the cab, about to depart for the airport when the first time he was going to Chicago. He saw himself busy with the Chicago general book, that enthusiasm was there on his face but he saw his sigh of leaving his own behind.
Those old memories with his parents, those fun nights with his friends, that bunny smile of Jungkook made him smile while crying. He missed Jungkook so much that he didn't even realize that he was already in deep love with him years ago. He always tried to ignore that feeling but this time it was impossible.
He wiped out his tears and grabbed his bag.

29th December
It was past 11:45 in night and suddenly there was the clicking of locks and opening of the door. A figure of a guy with a backpack, entered.
He stood there and looked around, it was dark in the room. He switched on the lights and that familiar house, same furniture, same aura gathered around Taehyung.
He slowly walked in looking around. He kept the old key he had on the table and looked at his own room's door.
He remembered the day he left. That chaotic mood in the house when you are packing up things. He remembered how his parents also were assisting him and wishing him all the best for the future. Taehyung automatically smiled recalling those memories and then he heard a familiar voice from behind.
"Woah, who is there? Don't you dare to move, you got it!! I'll call the police, Don't you da-"
Taehyung turned around.
"Tae… ?" Taehyung's dad was in shock.
"Taehyung?! Tae!! Oh my god!" Taehyung's mom screamed in joy. She came running and gave a tight hug to Taehyung.
"Woah Tae you are here? Oh my god I can't believe. You have grown so much, Ahhh" Taehyung chuckled at his mom's reaction.
"My dear little devil, finally you decided to meet us, huh?" Taehyung's dad hugged him warmly.
"Appa, Eomma, I missed you a lot." Taehyung squeezed his dad more.
"Sit" Taehyung's mom grabbed his bag."What a surprise Tae!"
"Well I thought to surprise a little, for that I have to go from Australia to Paris and then from Paris to here." Taehyung chuckled while sitting on the dining table.
"Aww it's been a long journey, you must be tired Tae. You traveled a lot." Taehyung's mom said.
"Our Tae never gets tired, don't you know?" Taehyung's dad grinned widely at Taehyung who was laughing at his dad's comment.
"Ohh!!... wait!!, I think you just gave the best gift to us on your birthday, it's almost past 12 now!!" Taehyung’s dad exclaimed.
"Ahhh I didn't realize, it's my birthday?"
"My crackhead, you didn't even know, we never forget your birthday. We were planning to call you today but you my child, you are here and gave us the biggest surprise." Taehyung's mom squeezed his cheeks.
"Yo here, we had left over pizza, for time being cut this." Taehyung's dad came with a candlestick and pizza slices.
"Hahaha, Appa!!" Taehyung laughed.
With a blow, the candle blew off and after so many years, Taehyung celebrated his birthday with his parents along with leftover pizza.
"Listen, life has written a new poem for you." A voice spoke in Taehyung's mind and he smiled.
