Gracen's P.O.V. Chapter 6
Sir Jaxin ran down the stairs and sdjusted his suet and opened the door for his guests comley. "Good eavning." He said warmly. "Please do come it."
He then wlaked out of the door way letting the guest come in giving me a full veiw of them. They were a very strange looking bunch but you couldnt judge them they had money and with that money power.
The Cornel shook hands with each of the Corneal's familey members. First he shook hands with the Corneal. Then he moved to the Coneal's wife. "Hello Eliza." He said with a smirk.
"Hello Charels." She said giving him a kiss on the cheek and a wink. I might be jumping to conclusions but I think that there is something going on between the two.
"Hello my dear Eliza." Sir Jaxin said. Yes there is definetly somethig going on between them. Remind me not to get involved.
He then moved over to the Coneals daughter. He grabbed her wrist and kissed it. "And my dear Princess how might you be?"
"Fine." She said dully.
I looked at Sir Jaxin's guests curiously. The Corneal was a short round man with brown hair that was mixed with a few gray ones. He was wearing a green seut that really brought out his eyes. The Coneal's wife Eliza had long blond hair that was pinned up with a fancy comb. She was wearing a blue dress that matched her icy blue eyes perfectly. The Coneal's daughter Princess was a diffrent story. She had long blond hair like her mother. She has her fathers eyes but they didn't have the same glow his did. Her exspresion looked that of a person who had something foul in there mouth. She was wearing a fancy pink dress with matching silk slippers. The family has a whole looked like a rather unpleasant bunch. I knew that this was going to be a long evening.
After greeting them Sir Jaxin brought his guests to the lounge and they talked for a good fifteen minutes until Princess started to complain that she was hungry. Sir Jaxin then brought them to the dinning room and commanded that we bring the food out at once. Thank god Jula-Rose and Mrs. Jenkins had just finished the food. I don't want to know what would have happened if it wasn't ready.
As we were bringing out the food I noticed that it smelled amazing. Julia-Rose and Mrs. Jenkins must have been hard at work because it smelled amazing. My mouth watered as I set the food down on the table.
The four of them ate as the adults chatted happily while Princess complained about everything. It was rather annoying. She was definitely a spoiled child. I can't stand people like that.
Dinner over all went pretty well. Desert is were things went down hill. From the time we brought out the pineapple upside down cake it was a mess. I was bringing out that plates and glasses, Sara had the cake, and Julia-Rose was right behind her with the wine. What happend next was crazy almost like it happend in slow motion. I am not sure if it was on perpous or not but all the sudden Jula-Rose was tripping over Princess fancy slippers. Jula-Rose dropped the wine bottle and it shattered, wine flying everywhere. Including a tiny bit on Princess' dress. All the sudden Sara slipped on the spilled wine and dropped the cake creating a sticky mess of wine and cake all over the floor. It all seemed to happen in slow motion, and I was sad,y snapped back into reality when Princess screeched loudly.
"How dare you!" She cried pulling her hand back to strike my sister.
"You clumsy oaf!" The Corneals wife yelled. "Princess darling are you alright?"
"Oh dear." The Corneal sighed, looking at the little drop of wine on his daughters dress. "Your dress is ruined."
"It was an accident!" Jula-Rose cried. "I am so so so sorry."
"I cannot belive you!" Sir Jaxin hissed shoving her up against the wall.
"I expect that she will be punished." The corneal said sternly. "I also expect that you replace my daughter's dress."
"Of course sir." Sir Jaxin said in between gritted teeth. "I just need to take this one back. The two of us need to have a little talk about manners." He then grabbed my sister by the arm and pulled her away to the barn.
Sara gave me a look that plainly said to go and help my sister. I quickly put down the plates and glasses and ran in the back barn just intime to see Jula-Rose shoved on the floor. Sir Jaxin had his arm raised and an Ox whip in hand.
"No!" I shouted, jumping infront of my sister just in time. Sir Jaxin brought his whip down and it hit min side with such force I was knocked back. I yelped out in pain.
"What are you doing?" Sir Jaxin hissed. "Get out of the way unless you want to make things worse for the both of you."
"But it was an accident." I said trying to reason with him.
"I would never drop the stuff on perpous." Jula-Rose cried. "I am so sorry."
"I don't care I am ruined." Sir Jaxin barked. "I am giving you one last chance girl. Get out of the way Or both you and your sister will be punished."
"Move Gracen." Jula-Rose cried. "This is my fault not yours. I can't let you take the fall for this."
"No." I said standing up slowly, my hand gently placed over the spot were the whip had hit.
"Fine." Sir Jaxin growled. "But you asked for it."
He then shoved Jula-Rose back and began to hit me with the whip. I lost count after five but after a while I could feel the blood dripping down my back, my dress torn beyond repair. Each time the whip hit my back thenpain intensified. I refused though to Snead a tear or cry out in pain. I can't not infront of my sister. I need to be strong for her. I can't have Sir Jaxin hurting her.
After what felt like forever he stopped. "That better have taught you a lesson girl." He spat at me. He then put the whip back on its hook and strutted out of the barn.
After he left jula-rose crawled over to my crying. She dove into my arms.
"Gracen! Gracen! Are you alright! I am so so so so so so sorry." She sobbed. "I thought he was gonna kill you. Are you alright?"
"I'll be fine." I said wincing as her hand brushed one of the angry marks on my back.
"I wish I had never been born." She sobbed. "If I was never born then we would not be here like this. If I wasn't born then the dark one would never have come to our house and you wouldn't be here like this."
"No!" I yelled looking her directly in her green eyes. "Never say that. Ever. Jula-Rose you are the best thing to ever happen to me. Our parents were selfish people. I am glad I have you here with me. I love you more then anyone else in the world."
The two of us just sat there on the barn floor hugging. I knew one thing this was the worst place I had ever been in. I can't have my sister stay here like this. I need to get her out of here. She can't live like this.
DONT WORRY EVERYONE THE PIDE PIPPER IS GOING TO BE IN THE NEXT CHAPTER. YES THE FORMATING IS ALITTLE WEIRD ON THIS CHAPTER. I WROTE IT ON MY TABLET NOT MY CHROMEBOOK AND LET ME JUST TELL YOU HOW HARD IT IS TO TYPE ON THIS THING.
