When Ben and I reached the school we parted ways to go to our separate classes. I immediately sat down and pulled out my notes. Eugene Gale, my friend and the person who sits next to me, was looking at funny.
"Yes Eugene?" I asked, not even looking up from my notes.
"Your usually here earlier than everyone else and today your right on time. I was just wondering why your not here before everyone?" he asked.
I looked at him. He was looking at my curiously though his glasses with his hazel eyes. His brown hair was a mess, and his posture needed fixing, but I was not going to be the one who does it.
"Read the group chat messages. That's the reason I was 'late' in my standards." I went back to my notes as Eugene ripped out his phone and went to the text between Ben and I.
This doesn't sound like Gray. I mean it does, fixing his sentence to be correctly written and all, but still. Gray would meet up with someone at 3:30 in the morning just for coffee. That seems strange. I put my phone back in my pocket and peeked at the boy sitting next to me. His uniform was straight and neat and his emotions wiped of his face, leaving a blank slate. He just stared at his notes, writing something every so often.
I sighed and went back to my neat, but still not as good, notes. After about 5 minutes I was bored and was thankfully saved by my phone buzzing in my pocket. It was a new group chat, minus Ben and Gray though.
Alex Go: can you believe that ben and gray were out at 3:30
Gerard Jin: honestly i can with ben but not with gray
Eugene Gale: that i can back up. he was 'late' this morning
Rowan Im: late?
Eugene: late by his standards
Alex: damn thats a big deal for him isnt it
Eugene: yea
Alex: and bens on cloud 9
Gerard: how much you wanna bet bens got a thing for gray
Alex: hmmm
Alex: you guys wanna meet up on the roof next brake
