"CARTER!"
I sprung up.
"Caleb? I would have never guessed."
Caleb was awake now.
"Be a shame if I told Lucas."
"LUCAS HATES YOU, don't even try."
I had to control my screaming. Caleb drowsily looked at me.
"Whatever."
Carter turned around to approach Lucas.
"Hey Lucas."
"What do you want?"
"Caleb and your sister have a thing going on huh?"
"Woah. What?"

Lucas turned and faced me.
"Please tell me you're a virgin."
"OH MY GOD LUCAS!"
"What?! Just making sure..."
I began laughing
"Well, Lucas I kissed Caleb."
"ooohhhh. Really?"
He walked over to Caleb.
"We have been friends our whole lives, but if you hurt my sister, I'm
gonna have to beat your ass."
"Okay."
Caleb smiled.

Well, that could not have gone smoother. Later on Carter approached me while I was alone picking more winter berry.
"Stelle."
"Ugh. What Carter."
"I'm sorry."
"You're what..?"
"SORRY. I want things to be okay between us. Earlier I was hurt to see you with Caleb. I still love you, we just didn't work well together."
"Oh. Carter. I'm sorry."
"It's okay. It's okay. I just kind of what to be with you, but I want to be your friend."
"I love you Carter."
"I love you Stelle."
He began to pull me into him.
"I've wanted to do this for a while."
He gently touched his lips to mine. He tasted like winter berry. There it was. The feeling Caleb had given me only days before. Caleb. I pulled away.
"Shit."
"What? Is something wrong?"
He said his arms still wrapped around me.
"Shit."
"What!???!"
"Caleb."
"OH MY GOD IM SO SORRY I FORGOT. OH MY GOD STELLE."
I wiped my mouth as if it would do anything.

"Well that won't help."
Carter said laughing. He kissed me again. Ugh I did not want it to stop. But I had to make it stop. I cannot care right now. So I began kissing him back. And we just stood there in the middle of the woods, my back against a tree. Making out.
"You taste like vanilla."
He whispered laughing.
"You taste like winter berry."
I responded laughing as well. We then sat in the snow, me sitting on his lap, him in the snow. We just continued to kiss. It felt so right, yet so wrong. And I liked it.
