Same Day at School
Dinner Time, 12:20pmIt was still Dinner Time at school and Pete was continuing to teach Theodore how to be Assertive
Theodore had eaten the Ice Cream now that Pete had taken off another school student
Although Theodore enjoyed the Ice Cream, he had a strange feeling inside him
He believed that what he had saw Pete to the other school student might have been a wrong decision
Theodore and Pete were walking around the playground
Theodore noticed a few students playing Football
He stood still and watched them play for a couple of minutes
"Come on Theodore, we don't have time to sit and watch them" moaned Pete
Before the pair could walk away, the ball had landed near Theodore's feet
"Hey Theodore, could you pass us the ball?" shouted a student named Sam
Before Theodore could more or reply, Pete stopped Theodore getting the ball
"Don't pass them the ball back, let them come and get it. They lost it after all" said Pete in a harah voice
"No, that's not what I would say to my brother's" replied Theodore
Theodore grabbed the ball but Pete stopped him again
"Do you want my help being Assertive or not? If you do, put the ball down and tell that guy to tie his mouth up shut and get the ball himself!" explained Pete
Theodore dropped the ball and said "Hey, you can't have the ball back unless you get it yourself after, you have tied...um...your...shoes?" called Theodore in a confused voice
Pete had asked Theodore to say a bit too much and Theodore had forgot everything Pete had asked him to say
"But I can't tie my shoes, I'm wearing sandals" replied Sam
"Are you going to pass the ball back or not?" shouted another one of the students
Theodore nodded and passed the ball back and the students continued to play their game of Football
"Pete it's OK, Sam wasn't going to fall over his shoe laces, he is wearing sandals" explained Theodore with a smile
Pete shook his head and started walking away and Theodore went after him
"Hey Pete, what's wrong?" asked Theodore in a confused voice
"Nothing...just leave me alone. It was my mistake to think you could be Assertive. You will just let people walk all over you all the time" replied Pete
"Pete, please give me another chance" begged Theodore
"Fine! But this is your last chance" said Pete
Dinner Time was almost over and Theodore and Pete were walking down the corridor with other students
"Oh Pete, my classroom is there. I think I'm going to wait here. Shall we meet again after school?" asked Theodore
Pete was about to speak, but a boy spoke to Theodore first
"Hey Theodore, can I borrow a pen from you? Just for this next lesson, then you can have it back" asked the boy
"Theodore, remember what I taught you. Tell this guy to find his own pen and to keep it up his, you know what, so he will never have to ask for one again" Pete joined in
Brittany was just walking past Theodore and overheard what Pete had just told Theodore
"Just who do you think you are kid? What right do you have telling Theodore what to say and do?" asked Brittany in an angry tone
"Get lost Princess, this is non of your business" replied Pete
"Theodore, don't listen to this guy. He is trying to control you and turn you into a bad person" explained Brittany
"But...but...I thought he was helping me? He was teaching me how to be...attractive" replied Theodore
"Assertive you idiot! Not attractive!" shouted Pete
Brittany slapped Pete across the face leaving a bright red mark on his face
Theodore had a surprised look on his face after seeing Brittany's actions
"Don't you dare call Theodore an idiot! I don't know what sick lies you have being telling Theodore or what you have being trying to teach him, but you better back off right now!" shouted Brittany
"Oh feisty one you are" said Pete rubbing his face
"Do you want another one?" asked Brittany in a serious tone
Pete took Brittany's advice, let out a groan and started walking away
"Yeah that's right! Keep well away from me, Theodore and our friends you freak" shouted Brittany
"You will regret this decision Theodore" called Pete walking away
"Sorry Pete" called Theodore
Brittany looked over at Theodore
"Don't apologise to him!" said Brittany
"I mean, sorry Brittany didn't slap you harder" Theodore added on
"That's more like it" said Brittany with a smile
"So...am I OK to borrow a pen?" the boy asked again
"Yeah sure, here you go" replied Theodore with a smile
Once Theodore passed the boy a pen, Brittany took him to one side
"Are you OK Theodore? Did he hurt you or do anything to you?" asked Brittany in a caring voice
"No he didn't do anything to me, just kept telling me what to say to be Assertive. But I didn't think some of the things he was telling me sounded like good ideas" explained Theodore
"Well I'm just glad your OK. Don't worry about him, I'm sure he will leave you alone now. As you get older, you will start to see the difference in people that want to be friends with you and people that want to use and control you" explained Brittany
"I hope so...thanks for helping me out Brittany. Your really great" said Theodore with a smile
"Come on then Theodore, off to class" said Brittany
Theodore and Brittany went inside the classroom and sat down with Alvin Simon Jeanette and Eleanor
"There you two are, I wondered where you had got too" said Eleanor with a giggle
"I thought you was only going to the toilet? Was you taking the biggest dump ever?" Alvin asked Brittany with sarcasm
"Says you that was on the toilet for half an hour last night" Brittany joked back
