Josh McCallahan - 7 years ago
"McCallahan!" My friend, Peter, from the basketball team hollered as he jogged over to me."We're gonna go to Dean's. Wanna come with? His mom's gonna make us ice cream to celebrate our victory on today's game. We rocked out there man. We definitely kicked their butts.""Yes we did." I laughed at his choice of words. "But I'm sorry, I can't. Grounded."
He sighed. "What did you do this time?"
"What makes you think that I did something?" I pretend to be offended.
He gave me an are-you-being-serious-right-now-Josh look.
"Fine." I groaned. "I spilled water on Mr. Tobian's chair. And I laughed at him saying he peed in his pants."
"You never cease to amuse me." Peter raised his eyebrows.
A car honked.
"Peter come on!" Dean's mom shouted from the car."Gotta go. See you tomorrow, Josh." He smiled.
"See you too."
I watched as he got in the car and Dean's mom drove away.
I made my way back to the basketball court to make sure everything's alright. As a team leader, I have to be responsible.
As I reached infront of the door of the court, I heard shoes squeaking on the floor.
