Savannah Harper - December 23, 2013

When I woke up the next morning, everything felt so much different.

The Christmas joy, I think.

Everything seems so bright and jolly because of the decorations we put up yesterday. Christmas lights and reindeers are everywhere.

I feel excitement and happiness.

But for one thing, what woke me up was the smell of bacon sizzling in the pan.

Nose twitching, limbs working independently of my brain, I got out of bed and stumbled downstairs.

I was greeted by a chorus of hellos and the glorious heavenly smell of food.

Apparently, Mom and Kimberly have been working all morning, cooking for us.

There are waffles, pancakes, bacons, eggs, and sausages on the table.

On the couch, Jim was reading the newspaper while drinking coffee. My eyes then moved over to the fireplace and saw Taylor and Ethan putting up stockings, laughing.

I smirked to myself, pleased.

We were all still in our Christmas pajamas. A new tradition we made yesterday. Every year from now on, from the 22nd to the 25th of December, we have to wear Christmas pajamas to sleep.

"Breakfast is ready! Come sit and let's eat!" Mom shouted.

We all gathered around the table and dig right in, while mumbling our "Oh my God, this is so good." 's and thank you's to Kim and Mom.

"So what are we doing today?" I asked.

"Anything we want." Kim shrugged. "We finished decorating the house and we're doing the Christmas Baking Extravanganza tomorrow before Christmas Eve."

Then the phone rang.

"I'll get it." Mom said as she sat up from her seat.

I saw Taylor reaches out her hand for the maple syrup. Then another hand took it at the same time. It was Ethan.

They were both touching the bottle, their fingers colliding.

They looked up.

Taylor's eyes went wide. She immediately pulled back her hands.

"Sorry." She went red. "You can use it first."

"No, it's okay." Ethan chuckled, handing the bottle to Tay.

"No, I insist." She shook her head.

Ethan just smiled and squirt the syrup on Tay's waffle for her.

She looked at me and I made fangirling movements with my hands when no one was looking.

Mom came back.

"Who was it?" Jim asked.

"Peter." She smiled. "He wanted to talk to you to ask you if you're free today. But then I told him that you're still eating breakfast and that he should just come over so we can all hang out together."

"Oh." I smiled back. "So is he coming?"

"Yes." She nodded.

"You better change. You look like crap." Taylor and Ethan simultaneously said.

I raised my eyebrows and then smirked.

"I look like crap, alright."

"Hey, that's not fair! You ate most of that already and now you're taking the last one?" I slapped Ethan's hand to shoo him away from the bag of mini chocolate covered pretzels that Peter brought with him to share

"Geez, lady." Ethan said. "Show me some love. I'm going back to college 2 weeks after the New Years and that's not long."

"That's long enough." I stuck my tongue out at him. "We still have about 3 weeks. And the only love you're gonna get is from Tay."

Tay went tomato red and punched my arm. Hard.

"Ow!" I rubbed the spot where she hit me.

"How do you cope, dating her?" Ethan asked Peter.

Peter laughed and shook his head.

Then the doorbell rang.

I got up and made my way to the door.

I opened it and saw none other than Josh McCallahan.

Josh McCallahan

All morning three thoughts have been bothering me.

One, tonight is my date with Hailey and I haven't prepare andything yet.

Two, there's this guilt that's eating me alive. The guilt that screams out "You're using Hailey as a rebound, Josh!"

Three, a voice in the back of my head keeps on telling me to go and apologize to Savannah for bailing at her and the boys yesterday.

But from all these things, the third one is bothering me the most.

Pictures of her eyes flashing with hurt when I told her I'm going to Hailey's haunted me the whole morning.

So after I made plans and reservations for tonight, I drove to Anna's.

I went up the steps and rang the door bell.

Someone opened the door. It was Savannah.

I immediately hugged her unconsciously. It was an immediate reaction. Whenever I see her I want to just hug the life out of her.

But fortunately for me, she wrapped her little arms around me and hugged me back.

"I'm sorry, Anna. For yesterday." I breathed out.

"It's okay." She pulled back and gave me a lopsided dimpled grin. "Come on in! Cheer up Josh, feel the Christmas spirit!"

I laughed.

She grabbed my hand and pulled me into the living room.

I saw the last person I wanted to see. Peter.

I clenched my fist.

"Hey man!" He walked to me with a huge smile on his face.

I loosened a little bit.

He then gave me a brotherly hug.

I bit my cheek but somehow I can't hold back.

I couldn't help it.

I smiled.

Hiiiii :)

On the media box is a picture of the one and only Dylan O'Brien who plays as Ethan Harper. He's literally God's gift to the human race.

Much lovee, Jasminee
