Chapter 12

There is a lot of blood and pain in this chapter, please do not read if you cannot read something like that.

A nurse came into the hospital room and said
"we have to take a blood sample so we can find out more" Paula just nodded.
the nurse looked for a vein and found one quickly and stuck the needle in Paula's arm and took 2 small tubes of blood
the nurse pulled the needle out and put a plaster on the place where the needle was inside, the nurse said
"lie back a little it could be that you get a little dizzy"
Paula lay back on the instructions but immediately screamed again because her pain was unbearable
"pshhh calm down, I'll give you something for the pain" said the nurse calmly.
The nurse left the room to get a pain medication for Paula, she came back,
gave Paula the tablet and left the room,
Paula opened her drink bottle,
took the tablet,
took a sip of water and lay back and closed her eyes.
A few hours go by and Paula woke up and felt something on her hand, it was tom's hand that was on hers, she caressed his head tenderly.
  Tom woke up from his little nap and looked up at Paula
"How are you my darling?"  asked Tom tenderly
.  "So far, the pain pills make it bearable, I still have to get up to go to the toilet" Paula said.
Paula straightened up and was about to get up when Tom said,
"Baby what the hell is that why is there so much blood?" Paula flinched and shrugged her shoulders,
totally shocked. 
"Wait here darling I'll go get a doctor don't move"
Tom left the room and called across the hallway
"Help we need urgent help in here"
a doctor came running straight up and asked
"what happened"
Paula was sitting on the hospital bed,
totally distraught,
"she's bleeding, the whole varnish is full of blood"
said Tom  trembling voice,
the doctor said
"Wait a minute I'm going to get a nurse, unfortunately we have to operate on her"
Paula became even sadder,
Tom went to Paula while the doctor came to a nurse called "are we going to lose our baby?"
  Paula said with a tearful voice Tom didn't answer and hugged Paula even tighter he whispered
"I love you so much, no matter what comes darling"
The doctor came back into the hospital room with 4 other nurses
"you have to leave there now, unfortunately Mr. Felton" said the doctor Tom held paula again very tight and said
"I love you so much I am waiting for you here, I promise" then he gave way  to the side,
Paula was still in shock and didn't even know what was going on,
the nurses made the bed loose and made it look in the direction of the exit of the room from the room directly down to the operating wing.
Tom collapsed on the floor in the hospital room and started to cry.
The doctor slowly came up to him and said
"Mr. Felton, calm down, everything will be fine! Call the family so that you are not alone I have to go to her now  Operation"
"Doctor"
shouted Tom,
"will my girlfriend lose the baby?" 
the doctor said
"I'm not ruling it out, I'm sorry."
The doctor left the room and ran to the elevator. 

Tom sat for a while on the cold floor in the hospital room and thought about the beautiful moments in pregnancy that he had made with Paula,
the first cravings, the mood swings, to the passionate parts of the pregnancy Tom burst into tears.
Tom tried to pull himself together,
he wanted to be strong for Paula and for the unborn baby, he got up from the floor and went over to the armchair in which he was already sitting this morning,
he took his cell phone out of his pocket and wrote everything down to his mother what goes on.
His mother was totally shocked and wanted to fly into the USA immediately,
but Tom wrote
"no, you don't need that, mother I'll write you again x" Tom then wrote a message to Paula's family to tell them what's was going on  Of course they were all very scared
Paula's family wrote: "Please write us immediately if you know something new."
Tom quickly wrote to his closest friends and then put the cell phone away again.
Tom sat in the armchair for a while and thought about all the beautiful moments and about the upcoming wedding that they might have to postpone?.
Tom got out of the chair,
left the hospital room and went to the Starbucks which was right next to the hospital and got a "black iced coffee"
His and Paulas Favorit.
He stayed in the fresh air for a while,
smoked a cigarette and drank his coffee with it.
A while later he went back to the hospital and back to the hospital room where he has to wait a while until Paula comes back from the operating room.
