Chapter 13

After a while Paula was pushed out of the operating room and pushed into the recovery room where she woke up 2 hours after the operation,
the doctors came into the hospital room where Tom was sleeping in the armchair,
the doctor pulled Tom a little and said,
"Mr. Felton, you wake up your girlfriend is out of the operation"
Tom slowly woke up and said
"okay can I see her? "
For the first few minutes Tom only thought of Paula and had completely forgotten about the baby.
Tom got up and was brought to Paula's recovery room by a nurse.
When they got there,
Paula was sleeping in a hospital bed,
Tom took a chair and sat next to Paula's bed and took her hand, he whispered
"everything will be fine Darling "
the nurse said shortly before she went out"
your girlfriend is stable enough when she is awake please ring the doorbell then a doctor will come to both of you "
tom just nodded and didn't even know whether paula had lost the baby or not,
he held Paula's hand tighter and kissed her hand and got emotional.
Timeskip a few hours go by and Paula woke up,
Tom was still sitting on Paula's bed and still holding her hand, Paula started to scratch Tom's head,
he slowly woke up and looked directly up at Paula and asked
"Darling how are you? "
Paula answered slowly and quietly
"I'm fine so far but where is our baby?"
Tom shrugged and rang the bell as the nurse had told him.
After Tom had rang the bell, a nurse and a doctor came into the room
"Hello Mr. Felton and Mrs. Duvet, unfortunately, I have no good news"
when the doctor said
"no good news"
Tom and Paula were as white in the face as the walls The hospital, the doctor continued,
"Unfortunately, you have lost your child, there was no longer enough oxygen in your stomach, which is why it died of a lack of oxygen, my condolences."
Paula held her hands in front of her face and began to cry, Tom was still sitting on the chair but he got up and went to Paula he start hugging her.

"We will leave you now if you still need anything please ring the bell or if you want to talk to a therapist or something."
Tom looked at the doctor and nodded.
The doctor and the nurse left the hospital room and closed the door behind them.
Paula said with a crying voice
"Oh my god we lost our baby"
she committed a lot more to crying Tom said
"I know I know"
"it hurts so much"
says Paula again and again
"it hurts so much"
it is not a physical pain is more like a mental pain.
Tom doesn't even know what to say and how to deal with the whole situation and pain.
He just hugged Paula tighter and said sometimes
"I love you so much my darling, it's Always you. "

A few hours later a nurse came in again to do a little check-up on Paula in order to release her.
  "Ms. duvet you are doing well. Blood pressure is stable. You don't have a fever,
you could go home if you want."
Paula looked at Tom with a tearful face.
Tom only nodded, Paula said,
"I would like to go home."  the nurse said
"all right, Ms. duvet, I'll get the papers ready for you then,"

Paula sat up, Tom gave her long sweatpants Paula had no strength at all,
so Tom put on her sweatpants and a big black sweater,
and Paula's shoes on top of that. 
Tom packed up the rest of the bag,
then the nurse came back into the hospital room with the discharge papers and a wheelchair.

Tom And the nurse helped Paula to sit in the wheelchair, Tom put Paula's bag on Paula's lap and pushed it towards the exit of the room and then followed a long walk through the hospital.
At the exit, Paula signed the discharge papers, the nurse said to Tom
"get your car and I'll wait here with your
Girlfriend" Tom nodded and walked towards the parking lot to the car when Tom got into the car he got in and got directly emotional he hit the Steering wheel  three times and yelled "Fuck Fuck Fuck Fuck."
  He put the key in and drove to the exit where Paula and the nurse were waiting,
he wiped the tears from his face and got out.
He took the bag from Paula's lap and put it in the trunk of the car Paula got up and got into the car the nurse waved again and said
"all the best for the future"
Tom thanked him and got into the car.
Tom started the engine and drove off he put his hand on Paula's thigh and said
"I love you"
Paula looked over at tom and stroked his neck and said
"I love you too."
