Chapter Eighteen

After Party Tings

Aliya POV

I stopped by my place and changed out of the clothes that they gave me. I just put on a simple black dress because it was the closest thing. I swapped my black Vans for my white ones and put on the jacket that I was wearing. I put a few strands of hair in my face and grabbed a different pair of glasses. I drove back to the school so I could ride with the rest of the team.

"Oh girl, I see you looking cute!" Neilah said as I stepped out of my car

"Thanks babe. I have to tell you what happened though!" I said closing the door and putting my backpack on

"What happened?" she asked as we walked towards the bus

"So I was showering and I realized that Chris didn't give me any soap. So I called out for him and he brought me the soap. Only, he slipped and looked up at me." I told her

"No. Fucking. Way." She said looking at me with wide eyes

"Way." I said as we stood near the bus

"He saw-" she said, cutting herself off

"Everything..." I whispered

"Oh my gosh, this is such a huge step for you." She said

"I guess." I said shrugging as we walked onto the bus.

I cringed as I thought about Chris seeing me naked.

"And now you have to ride in the same bus as him." She grinned

"So?" I asked, "I tutored him after like nothing happened. I think that I can do the same."

"Yeah, okay." She said rolling her eyes, "But knowing you, you were prolly squirming in your seat the entire time."

"No, I wasn't." I huffed

"Everybody on the bus, or your ass getting left!" we heard my dad shout

"Well, that's my cue. I'll meet you guys there." Neilah said as she walked towards her car

I turned around to get on the bus. There was so much on my mind, I ended getting up on the bus without looking. I bumped someone's shoulder and I looked up at them to apologize. It was Chris. Great, just great.

"After you, ma." he said with a smile

"Thanks." I said, getting on the bus without making eye contact

I saw Ja'Colby near the back if the bus and he waved me over. I focused on him with a smile on my face. I was going to walk over to him but someone suddenly grabbed my hand. Chris was still waiting for me to move.

"Miss me, love?" August grinned

"Hey August." I said with a big smile

He abruptly pulled me into his lap and I sat sideways. He kissed cheek and then pushed me back up. I stumbled a bit but I'm okay.

"Are you gonna hold us all up or is you gon' move?" Chris asked impatiently

"Sorry." I said as I made my way over to Ja'Colby

"Hey, mamas." Ja'Colby smirked

"Hey Ja'Colby," I sighed, "You just had to get a seat in the back, didn't you?"

"Who would wanna sit at the front?" he asked furrowing his eyebrows

"So what'd you do today?" he asked me as he shifted in his seat
