PROLOGUE

LAOBANG'S POV
-Time skip some years later-

Today is our graduation in college, and I can't be more excited. Living by ourselves during this years has been wonderful. No more controlling parents, and no more annoying sisters.

However, as time past by, Nayeon started to feel differently. Like she was not herself... She has stopped looking at herself in the mirror, and she doesn't flirt with me neither. It seriously worries me.

-Lao: Yo, Nayeonie... Shouldn't you be happy? (smiles) Today is our graduation day!

-Nayeon: Who said that I'm not happy? (forces a smile) I'm craving to receive my certificate.
-Lao: Your face says another thing... What happens? You can tell me (smiles)
-Nayeon: (looks at you and smiles) You are so kind, but nothing happens to me (starts walking away)

No, something definitely happens to her... What could it be, though? Mom and dad are coming to visit us today along Heejin. So it can't be that she misses them.

Also, she got high scores during her years in college, so she can't be depressed about it. Also, I think that we've had fun living by ourselves. Have I been the only one enjoying?

I keep on walking while checking my phone, when suddenly I receive a notification. I open the box and discover a weird message.

"Her time is running out. She doesn't belong here"

What?! Who is this? Why can't I reply to this message? I don't understand what is it talking about... Its probably a kid's joke or something like that.

I enter the gym where all the students are taking seat, I spot Nayeon and head towards her. She really looks like spacing out... What can I do to cheer her?

-Lao: Nayeonie, would you like to do something special after this? (smiles)
-Nayeon: (without looking at you) Didn't we agree to celebrate along your parents and Heejin?
-Lao: Ah, that's right... (looks down) But-
-Nayeon: (places a hand on your tight) I know that you are trying to cheer me up. But it's not necessary, really (forces a smile)

-Lao: (nods and looks away)

It's so hard to understand her when she acts like this. I'm her boyfriend, shouldn't she be able to open up easily with me? Right now I'm frustrated because I can't help her.

-Lao: I've heard that they are making remakes of the Disney princesses... Maybe you would like to go to the cinema one day-- Nayeon, why are you crying?!
-Nayeon: The girls... (looks down)
-Lao: (hugs her)

So it's that, she's actually missing them, now I see everything clear. But, how can we solve this? The book disappeared long ago from my room without leaving any trace.

The graduation ceremony passed by pretty slowly in my opinion. It's not as if I wasn't enjoying, but I was worried about Nayeon so I wanted to leave that place already.

-Mom: Congratulations to the both of you, we are really proud (smiles and hugs you both)
-Heejin: It's surprising that Laobang graduated, I thought he was a dork. But Nayeon unnie, I knew that she wouldn't have any problem (hugs her)
-Lao: Oh, thank you dear sister, your sincere congrats warms my heart (rolls your eyes)
-Dad: Today, in order to celebrate, we'll head to a restaurant and eat and drink everything we want! It's my treat! (chuckles)

Oh! It's really weird for dad to waste that much money, so I'm actually really excited. But, every time I look at Nayeon. God, the only thing that I want is stay at home and hug her all day long to comfort her.

-Heejin: Head back to your students flat for the last time, shower, get ready and let's meet later (smiles)
-Nayeon: (nods and smiles) We'll see you later... (waves and gets inside the car)
-Lao: See you (chuckles and starts the machine)
-Nayeon: Your dad is so kind... He'll treat us all.

-Lao: Yeah... We better don't eat anything for the rest of the afternoon so later on we eat until we explode (chuckles)
-Nayeon: (smiles weakly)
-Lao: Nayeon-ah, I'm really sorry for haven't noticed that you were homesick.
-Nayeon: (smiles) I am not homesick.
-Lao: Don't you want to return back to the princesses world?
-Nayeon: Laobang, my home is wherever you are. But...
-Lao: But you miss them right? (smiles) I do too, they became important people for me.
-Nayeon: I miss them, but that's not the problem neither...
-Lao: Then? (confused)
-Nayeon: Laobang... I'm starting to forget about them.
-Lao: What do you mean?!
-Nayeon: I don't remember their faces clearly anymore... (looks down) I'm really frustrated, it's as if I was losing my memory.
-Lao: That's not possible...
-Nayeon: You still remember them?
-Lao: Yeah... Maybe not perfectly, but I would recognize them... I think (gulps)
-Nayeon: Really? Who was the girl who used her ice powers?
-Lao: Hmmm... Momo, of course.
-Nayeon: What are you saying?! It was Mina (sighs) Do you understand now what I mean? We are forgetting about them, and I can't stop thinking that I'm actually forgetting my family.
-Lao: And, are they forgetting about us too?
-Nayeon: I don't know... But it worries me.
-Lao: Since the book disappeared, maybe our memory too. In a future its possible that none of us remembers what happened.
-Nayeon: We have to do something about it. Laobang, I'm also part of that book, does it mean that it'll disappear too? Will you forget about me?
-Lao: No, never... How can I forget about you? (looks at her deeply into her eyes)
-Nayeon: Maybe I'm running out of time and that's the reason why I'm feeling weird lately.

Running out of time? She belongs to the book... Isn't it related to the message that I received before? No matter what or how, our priority is to find the book from now on.

-Lao: I won't let you disappear Nayeon. We belong together, right? (smiles) I'll make sure that you stay by my side for always...
-Nayeon: So, what are we going to do?
-Lao: We'll find the book, of course (serious)
