The group walked up to the school doors, Darryl pulled the door open and held it for his friends. When they were all inside the building, Darryl closed the door behind him. They stood there silent.
"So who do you guys have for first? I've got Mr. Waldon", Clay says.
"I've got Mrs. Smith", Nick says. Darryl looks at him with concern visible on his face.
"You studied for the test, right?", Darryl asks. Nick looks at him with a frown and raises an eyebrow.
"What test?", Nick asks. George shoves Nick a bit.
"Don't worry I'm just kidding", Nick says with a smile. Darryl smiles a little bit, happy that his friend studied.
"So I'll assume George and Nick has their first class together", Clay says with annoyance on his face.
"You okay, Clay?", George asks. Clay looks at him.
"Yeah", Clay replies. The sound of shoes on the flooring made them all turn their heads to see an annoyed principal heading their way.
"And what do you four think you're doing! No standing and chit-chatting in the halls!", the principal says.
"Sorry Mr. Adams", Darryl says. The principal nods his head and turns around, mumbling something under his breath.
"I'm going to head to my first class, talk to you guys later", Darryl says walking away from the group. Clay watches him walk off, before trying to think about what class Darryl has. Clay realizes he has multiple classes with Darryl, two with George, and two with Nick.
"I'm going to head to my first class as well, see you guys next class", Clay says as he starts to walk off.

Darryl's P.O.V
I passed a few groups of people while walking to my teachers classroom. Sadly, Mrs. Collins class is at the end of the bottom floor's west hallway, that's one of the reasons I walked off, so I can get to class early to avoid the rush of people at the first bell. My second reason for walking off. I'm falling for my best friend, Clay. Enough about my crush for now, I need to focus on school. I am standing outside my first class, the door is shut, so I knock on the door. After a minute my teacher opens the door.

"Well good morning, Darryl", my teacher says with a smile. I smile back at her.

"Good morning Mrs. Collins", I reply. Mrs. Collins moves aside from the doorway and allows me to come in, leaving the door open. I sit down in my seat and pull out a small packet. It was my packet from yesterday, Mrs. Collins had said that we could do it for homework or do it for todays classwork. Although I decided to go ahead and do it last night so I didn't have to do it today. The bell rung and students started to flood through the door. After a minute or two the second bell rung signaling that classes had started.

"Okay, who all did their work as homework last night?", Mrs. Collins asked. I raised my hand along with three others. Mrs. Collins nodded with a smile.

"You four are free for this class, I will collect your packets at the end of class, the rest of you need to complete your work, start from where you left off yesterday, I will also collect your packets at the end of class", Mrs. Collins sat down at her desk. I decided that I would take a nap since we have free time during this class. I laid my head down on my arms and started to drift off. After a few minutes I woke up and coughed. I coughed again, but this time it felt like I was choking on something. I raised my right hand, covering my mouth with the inside of my left elbow.

"Yes, Darryl", Mrs. Collins said calmly with a smile. She glanced at me again, her smile fading into a frown. She nodded and pointed towards the door with a faint smile. I got up and opened the door, closing it as I left the room. I walked to the bathroom, I wanted to run to the bathroom since it was near the front of the hallway, but I didn't. After I reached the bathroom I stood in front of the trash can and coughed. I no longer had to cough, but I looked down to see a emerald green flower petal, slowly making its way into the garbage can. I stood there confused. Did I cough that up? Or did it fall from somewhere else? I looked up to see nothing there, just the ceiling. I started to walk back to my classroom, I decided to ignore the flower petals for now and just figure it out later. I reached the classroom again and opened the door, closing it as I entered the room.
"Darryl, can you come her please", Mrs. Collins called out. I looked at her for a second confused. I walked up to her desk and she had a frown on her face.
"Are you okay? I saw that you were covering your mouth. Do you think you need to go home and rest?", she asked.
"No, I just had a bad cough", I reassured her. I didn't say anything about the petals, I didn't know what they meant, if they meant anything, not only that but I didn't know where they came from. I'd rather just keep it to myself for now. She looked at me for a second before nodding, a small smile fading onto her face.
"Okay, if you ever feel sick or anything let me know, okay", Mrs. Collins said. I nodded my head in reply. I walked back to my seat and decided just to wait until the bell rung for class to end.
