it was a normal day for everyone in the neighborhood, woozi was simply chilin' in his room when the wifi got disconnected. jihoon groaned, forcing himself to get out of bed. he is usually productive but today he chose to get some rest.
he ran down the stairs where he saw seungkwan drinking his "morning" drink. "jihoon, there's no wifi" seungkwan complained, taking another sip of his drink.
"what should i do?"
joshua came out of the door with a phone in his hand. "i talked to the internet provider, he said he can't do anything about it since they were fixing it"
"they should've at least informed us," seungkwan said.
"i have an idea!" jeonghan yelled out of nowhere.
"where did you come from?" seungkwan asked.
"my mother's womb"
"imma slit your throat and rip your or-" the provoked seungkwan got cut off by the 2nd eldest in the room. "respect your hyung, seungkwan."
"okay..." the youngest took a deep breath before saying, "my beloved hyung, i will slit your throat if you do that again." seungkwan said in a "nice" and "sweet" way. if non-korean speakers heard what he said, they'll probably believe it was something sweet since seungkwan said it nicely.
"that's a very seungkwan thing to do" seokmin went out of his room.
"anyway, proceed with the idea, hannie" joshua spoke up.
"anyone here who thinks someone likes them from our neighborhood?"
"uhm...seungkwan?" seokmin questioned, he heard that seungkwan likes someone but he forgot who.
"why are y'all lookin' at me? i don't have anyone."
"jeonghan? joshua? jihoon?" seokmin named everyone.
jihoon glanced at jeonghan until a smile appeared on jeonghan's face. "soonyoung! jihoon, why don't you talk to soonyoung?"
"why would i?"
"he's your best friend, isn't he? he'll give the password to you." jeonghan smiled.
"i have nothing else to do so fine" jihoon grabbed a coat from the rack and proceeded with his "mission".
he knocked on the wooden door, only to be welcomed by a woman with a smile on her face. jihoon felt his heartbreak, the two had been friends for a long time. if this girl was a friend or a family, he would've known but sadly, he didn't.
"is s-soony-oung there?"
the girl slightly closed the door and yelled, "soonyoung!". she opened the door widely and said, "he'll be here in just a moment."
soonyoung came up to him with a big smile, "what's up little one?"
jihoon would've been mad at soonyoung for calling him "little one" but knowing who the girl was is much more important. "who was that?"
"who? oh, her? she's a friend of jun and minghao."
"i haven't seen her before."
"she's from china, she wanted to pay the two a visit."
"ohh, makes sense...how's the wifi here?"
"uhm...great? why'd you ask?"
"well...uh.m...our wifi connection got cut off. can you please tell me the password? we'll die if we don't get It."
"die?"
"die of boredom"
"you have to act cute if you want the password," soonyoung smirked.
"no thank you" the younger turned his back, hearing soonyoung's laughter as he walks back to his house.
"so...how did it go?" jeonghan asked with so much anticipation.
"didn't get it...he wanted me to act cute for it" he huffed.
"what's the name of his wifi?" seokmin asked.
"it's the "horanghae~" one" seungkwan replied.
"why don't we guess the password?" joshua said with a grin.
"his password is probably "hoshiisatiger" even though, he's a hamster" jihoon laughed.
"tried that one didn't work," jeonghan said, not lolking away from his phone.
"uhm..."jihoonisshort"?" seungkwan suggested.
"do you want your life to be short?" jihoon glared.
"didn't work" jeonghan replied nonchalantly.
"try random things about him, anything is possible," joshua stated.
they grabbed their phones and typed in every possible password. a password suddenly popped up in jihoon's head, he laughed at how ridiculous it would be if it was the actual password.
he typed "soonhoon" and then press "enter". his phone loaded for a while until "connected" appeared on his screen.
"i-" was all that he could say. all of his friends immediately placed their attention on him. "did you guess it?" seokmin asked.
"yes-" he hesitated.
all of them cheered dramatically as if they won a war. a war between them and boredom. seokmin and seungkwan were kneeling on the floor, screaming "yes!" repeatedly. the two eldest were hugging each other so tight that one of them might suffocate.
"what's the password?" they asked.
"s-soon-" he stuttered.
"soonyoung?" seokmin interrupted.
"soonho-" he tried again.
"soonhoshi?" seungkwan yelled.
"soonhoon"
their jaw dropped, not believing what they heard. they grabbed their phones and typed in the said password and obviously, it worked.
"omg, so what does this mean?" seokmin exclaimed.
"you two would be a great couple!" jeonghan clapped.
"stop it" jihoon blushed.
"talk to him about it," seungkwan said.
jihoon dialed the tiger, it took a few rings before he picked up. "youngie~, you free?"
"of course, i am. everything else will be set aside if it's you we're talking about."
"so...about the wifi."
"it came back? that's good!" the older cheered.
"no, it hasn't. we're connected on yours"
"oh- how?"
"i guessed the password."
"did your heart flutter?"
jihoon felt his cheeks heat up, he looked outside the window. soonyoung was on the phone outside with a big smile on his face. "i can see you smirking over there kwon soonyoung!"
"now that you know...would you like to go out with me?"
"of course!"
"see you at 12"
he hung up, he felt hawk-like eyes staring at him.
"what was that?" joshua grinned.
"i got myself a date"
