new year's eve, the day everyone has been waiting for. the day everyone spends their time with this family. an important day for everyone.

today, soonyoung and his friends have gathered around to celebrate the new year together. there were a few couples in the room namely, meanie and junhao.

they were sitting in the living room, where the couple's had their own worlds. they had extra space on the couch since the couples count as one because one of them is sitting on the lap of their lover.

"can y'all stop that couple-y shit and get a room? can you respect the single ones around here? seungkwan hissed.

"shut it, let them be" chan answered.

seungkwan rolled his eyes, shooting a glare to the younger afterward.

everyone continued to chat, everyone was happy except for soonyoung.

"anything wrong, hoshi?" the eldest asked.

"of course not" he let out a forced laugh.

"you miss him, don't you?" jeonghan asked.

"who wouldn't" the younger mumbled.

"call him then, that'll cheer you up," joshua suggested.

"he's probably busy"

"what do you mean? it's new year's eve..." minghao said, cuddling his boyfriend.

"okay fine" he got up from the floor and went to his respective room. he grabbed the phone from his pocket. he hesitated to call at first but he fought himself and pressed the call button.

"hello?"

"jihoonie~!" the older exclaimed through the phone.

"soonie~, i've missed you"

"i've missed you too, can we face time right now?"

"sure"

soonyoung pressed the "video call" button and waited for jihoon to accept his request. when he did, soonyoung saw that he was in a car.

"are you going somewhere right now?"

"yep, i'm going to buy some foods for new year, how about you? have you eaten? did jeonghan remind you to eat? eat on time like i said to him?"

"he did"

"good" he sighed in relief. "sorry but i have to go now, always remember that i love you, bye~"

"i love you too, bye~ stay safe!"

they smiled before hanging up. hoshi threw his phone on his bed, he wanted to visit jihoon for the holidays but his schedule keeps preventing him.

he threw himself on the bed, realizing his prediction where the bed was wrong when he landed on the ground. he was too sad to get up so he stayed there until hansol came into the room.

"uh...m....what are you doing there?

"breathing"

"i-...um...seungcheol said that you should help us prepare downstairs so that you'll get distracted."

"okay"

he stood up and followed the younger downstairs. the 95 liners were doing the decorations. mingyu did the cooking with the help of their other friends.
