Grow Up Hinata

Karasuno volleyball team was at a training camp with several other teams from around the area. They had just finished playing a match against Nekoma and they had lost. They were on a break, before their next match against Johzenji High. Kageyama was sitting in a corner by himself, watching his bundle of sunshine bounce around while chatting with Kenma, Lev, Kuroo, and Bokuto. Kageyama smiled, his Shouyou is always so happy and he brings joy to everyone around him. Kageyama took a swig of his water and continued watching Hinata from across the court.

Kageyama loved seeing Hinata this happy. Hinata was happiest when he played volleyball, when he's with his friends, and when he's alone with Kageyama. Just then the whistle blew signaling the end of the break, so Kageyama put his water bottle away and got up. The others walked away to go play their game and Hinata turn and started walking towards Kageyama. Suddenly Yūji Terushima the captain of Johzenji came up and grabbed Hinata's arm. Hinata stopped and turned around, Terushima said something to him, but Hinata shook his head and started walking to his team. However, Terushima started pulling Hinata towards the door.

With murderous contempt in his eyes Kageyama picked up a volleyball and spiked it right into the back of Terushima's head. Terushima yelled then turned around to see who had hit him. The gym when quiet when Kageyama yelled, "Oi boy, let him go, this is your only warning".

Terushima looked at Hinata and replied, "why should I let him go? He can go wherever he wants to with whoever he wants to. We're just going to go outside to talk".

Kageyama started walking towards them with the intent of killing Terushima when he was stopped by Daichi Sawamura his team captain. Glaring at Terushima, Kageyama yelled, "I don't like other people touching what belongs to me. You can look, but you can't touch. In your case, don't even look". Looking directly at Hinata with a dead stare, Kageyama said "come over here now".

Hinata walking towards Kageyama but Terushima was still holding his hand and pulled Hinata into his chest. Kageyama struggled to get away from Daichi, while shooting daggers at Terushima with his eyes. Kuroo and Bokuto seeing what was happening went up to Terushima and detangled Hinata's hand from his grip. They stepped in front of Terushima and told him he better leave Hinata alone or they would release Kageyama and allow him to beat him up. Terushima glared at Kageyama before going outside.

Hinata walked towards Kageyama with his head down knowing his boyfriend was pissed but not really understanding why. Kageyama grabbed Hinata's hand and pulled him in to the club room. He grabbed Hinata by the shoulders, looked at him and yelled, "What the fuck is wrong with you?"

With tears in his eyes Hinata replied, "I don't know what you're talking about. I didn't do anything".

"That's exactly my problem. You didn't do anything! You never fucking do anything! When are you going to grow up Hinata? When are you going to start doing something when people start touching you. When are you going to start defending yourself" Kageyama yelled. The gym was quiet as everyone listened to their fight. At this point Terushima walked back into the gym.

"Do you even know what he was thinking? Well I do, I saw the look in his eyes" Kageyama still yelling while pacing back and forth. Terushima smirked when he heard Kageyama's words. Everyone in the gym turned and glared at him, Terushima ran back outside avoiding everyone's glares.

Hinata who was loudly crying screamed, "Why are you so mad at me, I didn't do anything. Why are you yelling at me? Why Kags, why?".

"Are you seriously asking why I'm mad, why I'm yelling?" Kageyama sighed heavily "because it's getting so fucking hard defending you, I'm so sick of it". Everyone in the gym looked at each other wondering what Kageyama meant by that. "Do you know how much I worry about you every second of every day. Even in my sleep I worry about you. I have to stop, I need to start worrying about me sometimes", Kageyama stated looking at Hinata with sadness and hurt in his eyes.
