Polar Opposites (NaLu AU)

*Chapter 2*

      When I arrived at my new school, I was shocked. It was so big, I knew I was gonna be late to a few classes. I let out a sigh thinking, well, this was Aunt Mavis' wish. To attend her founding school, Fairy Tail Academy. I pull out the map of the shcool Aunt Mavis left for me, and follow the map, squinting at my Aunt's small, loopy handwriting. I followed her map to where the office is.

    When I got there, I knocked on the door. "Come in!"

"Uh, hi, my name is Lucy Heartfilia, and I'm here to pick up my schedule, sir."

"Makarov, dear. You can call me 'Gramps' or 'Master' like everyone else does. Here's your schedule dear. Oh, and no one else knows about your identity except for me."

"Thank you," I say, grabbing my schedule and was about to walk out, when Master called my name.

"Lucy, dear, your locker is already set up, a favor asked of me by your Aunt."

"Oh . . . thank you," I say, bowing does and heading out. 

Following the map, I headed to the the hallway where my locker was supposed to be. Walking toward my locker, muttering about my new schedule, I bumped into someone. " I am so sorry, I wasn't paying attention to where I was going," I apologize. "Oh, no, you're fine, I was reading a book. My name is Levy, what's yours?"

"Lucy."

"Cool! Can I call you 'Lu'?"

"Uh, sure, I guess."

"Yay! Can I see your schedule?" I nod and hand over my schedule to her.

"Lu-chan, most of our classes are the same, and they're all pretty close by, with a few exceptions. I'll help you navigate to your classes!"

"Arigato, Levy-chan!"

She shows me my locker and we discover it's right across from hers. We head off to first period, which we both have History, finding that we have a lot in common.

*First Period Bell Rings*

We made it to first period on time. The teacher introduced me to the class.

"Everyone, we have a new student here today, please treat her kindly."

"Hello, my name is Lucy. Pleased to meet you!" As I was saying this, I noticed a weird guy with bubble gum pink hair in the back of the class. And he was looking at the window! He glanced at the front of the class once, and he glared at me! Rude! I made a mental note not to talk to him.

After sensei finished talking, I went and took a seat next to Levy-chan. She filled me in on the topic we were learning about and gave me her notes to copy. 

*Time Skip*

Lunch Time. I head back to my locker, reach into my bag, and pull and envelope out. It was a birthday present. I left my locker open and opened the envelope. There was a letter and 2 keys. Both keys were attatched to a single key ring. I unfolded the letter. It said:

Dear Lucy,

I hope you opened this on your first day at Fairy Tail Academy. I know how much you love stars. So here's a key to both the rooftop and Observatory. The rooftop door should be unlocked but I gave you a key just in case. Hope you use them well!

I smiled sadly. She was the best of the best. I grab my lunch, close my locker door, and head to the roof.
