She... What? Allie had never, in her entire lifespan, thought that she was going to change something drastically and still be able to muster words despite the overflowing feeling of mixed emotions she was feeling. Emotions such as fear, excitement, worry, and another feeling that she didn't know she could feel. She didn't know exactly what to call it; dread? Anxiousness? She had no idea. She thought maybe a combination of stress and maybe... Sadness?

For the first time, Allie wondered what would really happen to her if she failed. Would she just end up waking up anyways? Or would she actually die in reality... The horrifying thought sent shivers down her spine and she quickly shied away from it, before she thought about any other horrible possibilities that could happen if she failed. She tried not to think about it.

So instead she distracted herself the whole rest of the day by practicing and practicing until she got each shot correct each and every time, even while she was moving around. She worked on trick shots, although they weren't necessary, she was still distracting herself from the thought of having to battle against an insane girl monster thing with only a few of the creatures here to support her. A few were reluctant to support her though, she learned that it was because of Baarons colors on his crystal form. She was right, but she wished she hadn't been, as Baaron had had to suffer through the hatred they gave him everyday.

The next day, after training, Baaron and Allie walked proudly back towards his house, now improved due to his being her geode and all. Their training day had been a success that day, she had gotten every single target over and over and beat out any others who were out there training. But she was especially excited for that day because today was going to be the day. She was going to ask Baaron about it. Finally, the two had gotten to his recently remodeled house, and Allie looked around in amazement, it was strange that she could ask them to do certain things, and they did it. She wasn't used to that kind of feeling yet.

The house was now at least three times bigger than it had been before, and the walls were now the same kind of dark wood as her bow, and newly polished everyday, which was tough now, due to its size. She touched the wooden walls thoughtfully, I just wish that they would instantly be polished every day, without me having to order these other innocent bystanders around... She thought wistfully. She did the same with the floor, although she didn't know why, it was almost instinctive for her.

"So Baaron..." Allie's voice trailed off. "So... what do you think about the others... you know... being all, mean? I guess?" She wasn't sure if that was the right thing to ask, especially after a really good day. But Baaron's expression immediately went dark and his eyes looked far off, as though he were a million miles away from her.

"Oh... I suppose I was going to have to admit that to myself one day... But I never thought it would be the chosen one doing it for me..." He smiled half-heartedly, nervously.

"Why..?" She wasn't sure if she should ask... but she was in too deep now, no going back. "Do-Do the others hate you, because of your colors?" She was extremely nervous now, fidgeting like she always did when she was nervous. He sighed deeply, as if he had been holding his breath until she asked him that. He also looked uncomfortable, although he didn't mention it, so she decided not to bring it up.

"Well, the truth is, yes. They hate me like crazy, except for the other crystals like me and Camara."

Camara was also opposite colors on the color wheel, but Allie had been too busy to notice, so she was genuinely shocked to find that she was like Baaron too. Camaras colors were a dark, cactus green color, almost like camouflage, and her other color was a deep indigo/purple and it made her almost blend in with the village greenery, her eyes were a bright yellow, and she had seen much hope in them since she had arrived, although she thought she might've seen a flicker of dismay behind that hope, or a flicker of guiltiness. She wasn't sure she wanted to find out. Camara was what looked like a crystalized rat as well, which was probably another reason she knew Baaron so well. For a startled moment, she realized that not only was she jealous, she had started unconsciously thinking about ways to make training miserable for her in the back of her mind. Maybe she was as malicious and willing to fight for them as much as they thought. HA! She thought. Why would I be malicious, and why would they think that either? She had yet another feeling of sorrow, and pain, and looked over at Baaron, who shifted uncomfortably where he was standing. Unsure of what he should or shouldn't do. She wondered what he was thinking.
