Chapter Sixteen - Gryffindor VS Slytherin

They took to the skies at lightning speed, shooting into the air and sending gusts of wind towards the stands, blowing hats off cheering students, forcing their robes out behind them, Harry was sure he even saw a sign tear in half from the force of one of the Slytherin Chasers.

"And the Quaffle is taken immediately by Angelina Johnson of Gryffindor -- What an excellent Chaser that girl is, and rather attractive, too --"

     "JORDAN!"

"Sorry, Professor!"

Fred and George both cackled and sent teasing winks over to Lee, who blushed slightly but snickered nonetheless. Lee was the commentator, an interesting and amusing choice on Madam Hooch's part, as he was loud, rowdy, and best friends with the Weasley twins which only gave him another check on the 'no go' list, but he was closely watched by Professor McGonagall who was ready to interfere at a moments notice.

Angelina swiftly dodged those that chased after her, diving down under a Slytherin chaser and quickly throwing the Quaffle to another girl who caught it and broke off from the chasing Slytherins. "--a neat pass to Alicia Spinnet, a good friend of Oliver Wood's, last year only a reserve -- back to Johnson -- no, the Slytherins have taken the Quaffle!"

A couple of Slytherin Chasers cut Alicia off, and one of the Beaters quickly sent a discreet Bludger her way. She let out a surprised shout and dodged, dropping the Quaffle on instinct, which landed right in the hands of Marcus Flint. Harry grimaced and watched as he zipped past Fred and George, who tried to cut him off only to be nearly knocked off their brooms as he dove under them and towards the goal. He threw it as fast and hard as he could, and it flew through the air at alarming speeds before it was beaten away in the opposite direction by Wood. Harry gave a silent cheer that matched Lee's enthusiastic tone.

"Stopped by an excellent move by Gryffindor Keeper Wood and the Gryffindors take the Quaffle!"

Katie Bell had the Quaffle now, and she expertly passed it between herself and Angelina. "That's Chaser Katie Bell of Gryffindor and Angelina Johnson, lovely teamwork, ladies -- and Katie has the Quaffle again! Nice dive around Flint, off up the field and -- OUCH --" one of the Slytherin Beaters blocked a Bludger coming their way and sent it flying towards Katie. It slammed into the back of her head and caused her to jerk forward, the Quaffle falling out of her hands as her pained yell was drowned out in the sea of cheering Slytherins. "--that must of hurt! Hit in the back of the head by a Bludger -- Quaffle taken by the Slytherins -- that's Adrian Pucey speeding off towards the goal post --"

Harry watched a handsome Slytherin boy speed across the field and right to the goal, only to have a Bludger slam into his wrist and send the Quaffle flying right into the hands of Angelina.

"--he's blocked by Fred or George Weasley, can't tell which--"

"YOU'VE KNOWN US FOR THREE YEARS!" The twins yelled over the cheers.

"I'll choose to ignore that, seeing as it's irrelevant -- nice play by the Gryffindor Beater, anyway, Johnson back in possession of the Quaffle, a clear field ahead and off she goes -- She's really flying --"

Anxiety nipped at Harry as he looked for the snitch, watching Angelina dodge a speeding Bludger and race towards the goal posts. She slipped around Keeper Bletchley, who dived as she threw the Quaffle. It flew, and flew, and flew, and -- "GRYFFINDORS SCORE!"
