Diagon Alley

We all got bundled up, getting ready for the cold storm outside. Sirius, Remus, James, and I laughed all the way down to the Leaky Cauldron. "Yes, finally, we're here" I quickly opened the door, and it was warm. I shivered off the cold and walked deeper into the little hole in the wall. We waved and greeted the barkeeper, and went straight to the back and saw the familiar brick wall. James pulled out his wand and tapped the brick wall (in an order I still don't understand). The wall then opened up and led us into the busy streets of Diagon ally. We all ran first to Quality Quidditch supplies shop. "Ah no need to look, you guys are going to lose to me no matter what kind of special thing you have" James smirked and puffed out his chest "Oh sure Prongs, we'll see about that" I fought back. James was always so arrogant, but I just rolled my eyes. We stepped away from the glass, as we did look like first years looking at the new brooms. We kept walking down and met up with Peter on the way. Our next stop was Flourish & Blotts. I of course got the new "Magical Creatures Expedia". It smelled like a new book, my favorite smell. I smiled and met up with the boys, after paying for the book. "Oh and what did you get there?" Remus asked, and before i could even open my mouth sirius responded with "What do you mean what did she get. you should know this by now" I rolled my eyes smiling, "Yes you should know this by now Remus." I laughed.

We passed by all the shops, and even though it was -123 degrees we still got ice cream at Florian Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour. I got mint chip, of course, while everyone else got some odd flavour. We continued walking down, enjoying our scenery as well as the ice cream in our hands. We were all just laughing, and I had the best time. Not even thinking about my parents nor the aching pain. We just about passed Knockturn alley when I heard a strange noise. Well not strange exactly. It was like a music box, and it was playing a beautiful sound. I stopped and looked down the alley. Sure it was dark, but this sound, it was just pulling me near it. The others didn't notice me stop, I looked back at them, then towards the alley. ill just take a quick look around and come back. I thought, I dropped the cone on the pavement and started running towards the music. And it started getting louder and more dramatic, the closer I got. That was until I arrived at the place. The sign read Borgin & Burkes. i let go of any fear and opened the door, the bell chimed, letting them know I was there.

the place was almost decorated in just a black. I definitely did not belong here, as I was wearing my Gryffindor scarf and robe. I walked to the back of the store, only passing one person in the store who was looking at a skull, quite oddly. But no matter, I was so close to the music, in fact there was a person in the back, with long blonde hair, they seemed to be standing in front of the music box. I carefully walked up to them, excuse me- he turned around, almost knocking me off my feet. It was Lucious. And oh my do I hate him. "Lucious" I sneered. he looked me up and down, and he didn't glare at me like he usually did, I softened my face a bit.

I looked down at the table that stood the music box. It was very luxurious and had pastel painted horses on it, the colors definitely stood out from everything else in the store. It was a merry-go-round. And it seemed to soothe me. even though I was standing next to the most obnoxious person ever. I touched it ever so lightly, it was smooth, like glass. I felt like I could stay there forever.
from time to time Lucious looked at me curiously but I ignored him. But then the music box stopped playing. I was then brought back to reality. I checked my watch and realized I was standing there for 30 mins. The boys must be worried about me. I quickly exited the store, giving Lucious one last glance before I left.
I ran back to the entrance from where I came from, and they were no where to be seen.
