Quirk

Before we get into his quirk, here are a few facts about his parents' quirks.

First off, his mother's quirk was Cat. So she could do anything that a cat could do. "Psychic" whiskers, seeing in the dark, super smelling, and she even had the gland in her mouth that allowed her to basically taste anything she could smell. She also had some downsides, such as being able to see fairly far away but not close up. She had claws, she had fangs, she had cat ears on top of her head along with human ears. All that cool stuff.

     Secondly, his father's quirk gave him excellent agility, amazing flexibility, and increased strength. Some said his bones were made of rubber because of how flexible they were. He never became a hero or anything, so no one knew exactly how his quirk made him the way he was.

Nekoda's Quirk:

. He inherited both quirks, so he's extremely flexible and can do anything a cat can, really.

. His quirk has given him very fast reflexes, agility, speed, even strength, sense of smell, hearing, and seeing. There's even more to it than that, too.

. His highly attuned sense of smell and his abilities with the vomeronasal organ allow him to be able to smell just like a cat can. He can pick up pheromones and can use his nose to identify people, whether they're in the same room as him or have been and left. He, like a cat, can smell fear, and he can smell a number of other things. Like a cat, he can even smell when someone is pregnant. He feels a little weird about it, though.

. He does have whiskers like a cat does, it's just that his are much shorter and mistaken for the normal hair you'd find on your skin until the places he has them are touched. They're thicker than ordinary hairs and have deeper roots that provide him with important sensory information. His whiskers, like a cat's, are so sensitive that they don't have to touch an object for him to sense it. He can feel movement just by the changes in airflow. He can use them to tell if someone is dead, and it helps him figure out if he can fit through a small space. That way he'll know if he can before he tries only to get stuck. He has whisker-like hairs in some areas, like legs snd arms, to feel an opponent, and some hairs in his eyebrows are actually made of the same kind of hair his whiskers are. When an object gets close, it triggers a blinking reflex so his eyes remain protected.

. Like a cat, he gives his legs a shimmy and tail a wiggle to size up a jump and test the firmness of a takeoff before he jumps. He looks much less ridiculous than an actual cat, though, who would actually give its whole rear end a little wiggle.

. His tail helps him keep balance in many instances, whether it be walking across a log, standing on a tree branch, or chasing after someone and having to make a sharp turn. Like a cat, you can also tell how he's feeling based on the way he moves his tail and his ears.

. Speaking of his ears, he has a cat's extraordinary hearing. He can pick up sounds and movements up to five times farther than a human can, which helps him pinpoint someone's location. Or something— lost your phone? Have it on vibrate? Get Nekoda, he'll help you find it!

. His quirk does come with a downside, however. He had far-sighted focus. He typically can't see things that are right under his nose, nor can he see water very clearly, so he has no way of telling where the water line is. He has trouble focusing on objects that aren't moving, and he's much better at seeing objects and such that are farther away. Because of this, Nekoda has reading glasses for school. Or just has glasses for when he's doing close up things. Sometimes he chooses contacts.

. Like a cat, he has a tough tongue. Why? Who really knows, because a human certainly has no need for a tough tongue since they bathe in water, not with their tongue. But Nekoda does like the fact that he can lick every last scrap of chicken off the bone. (Secretly, he does groom his furry tail, he just doesn't tell people that, since it's weird.)

. He also has a feline's flexibility, which helps him a lot during training sessions and fights, things like that. He can also manage to fit through tight spaces, but not to the extent a cat can, since he's bigger. But again, he's extremely flexible not only because of his mother's quirk, but also because of his father's.

. The outer layer of skin on his paw pads (on his feet) is considerably thicker than the skin elsewhere on his body. The large pad on his back paws serves as a brake after leaping forward. The smaller ones on his back paws are to cushion movement and are prime shock absorbers when landing.

. Due to the cat quirk and the quirk that gave his father enhanced agility, flexibility, and strength, Nekoda is capable of running up to 90 mph like a cheetah can.

. He has increased strength. He's nowhere near being as strong as Mezo Shoji from Class 1-A, but if the situation was dangerous enough, he could manage to push a car out of harm's way.

. Nekoda is capable of jumping ten to eighteen feet into the air. Again, all thanks to his quirk.

. He has a cat's flexibility as well. This guy is so flexible that he could get himself to fit in a suitcase, though that wouldn't be very comfortable.
