Warnings: Mentions of drugs; sexual abuse; being beaten.

Nekoda is a drug baby and was placed with foster parents when he was born. However, when he developed his quirk, his parents had to give him up because they were deathly allergic to cats, and he has cat hair. So, when he was five years old, he was placed with another family who had other foster kids, who all treated him like an animal rather than a human.

When Nekoda was six years old, he was placed with another family who couldn't have children. They loved him dearly, and he loved them, too. They adopted him into their family, and he loved them dearly.

When Nekoda was fourteen, both of his adoptive parents passed away, killed in a car crash. He'd been with them, but he survived. Some claim it's the "nine lives" thing.

They found his biological uncle, who lived in Japan. So, Nekoda was moved to Japan with his uncle and his new wife, who was only 19 years old at the time (his aunt is only five years older than he is).

His uncle was a man he had never met, but a man he quickly learned to fear and despise.

By the time Nekoda was fifteen, his uncle had full out shown his true colors. The creepy, stern man was abusive in more ways than one.

Nekoda's uncle would beat him and sexually abuse him. The woman he was married to even knew about what was happening, but she didn't care and did nothing to stop it. However, since she found Nekoda attractive, she eventually forced him into the same things that his uncle forced him into. The two used threats and blackmail to keep him quiet.

Nekoda's aunt is much younger than his uncle is, closer to his age if anything. So even though she's the one abusing him, she'll cry rape and blame it all on him if authorities find out. It would be believable, too, because physical evidence on Nekoda wouldn't be there since they force the poor thing to take a healing drug called tosui so that he'd be healed before they could find any physical evidence on him.

So, Nekoda can't run away, he can't escape, he can't fight. For fear of being wrongly accused of things, he just lets it happen.

Note: his uncle's quirk is thread manipulation. He can produce threads from his fingertips and use the thread to either create clothing, or to manipulate people like a marionette doll by attaching strings to them. Part of what makes Nekoda so ashamed is that his uncle rarely had to use the threads to control him because he was typically so obedient and compliant.
