3rd person P.O.V
That coming Monday was a pleasant surprise for the students.
They expected another agonizing week of arguments, insults and lots of yelling. It hadn't even been that long yet they knew it would become the new normal at the high school, or so they thought.
To their surprise, on Monday morning there was no yelling, arguments, insults, or even snide remarks. This was very different from the previous week and a half.
So, they braced themselves for every little thing that could as argument to happen. They were preparing for the storm, literally.
Surprisingly, the storm never came. Monday passed without a hitch.
It was the same for the following day, and the one after that. Students and teachers began to remain calm throughout the entire lesson. No one froze or flinched, bracing for a ambush of shouts. They just stayed there. Calm.
They had no idea what was going on, but at least the yelling stopped. That was all that matters.
That continued for the next week.
The day is currently Thursday of the week. Chuuya was siting in his regular seat next to the window, staring out to the clouds. He looked as delicate as glass, a girl even, a beautiful exotic flower when quiet, starring out. But in reality, the ginger was screaming and doing everything in his power not to snap.
It was aggravating, not being able to vent your feelings on a certain brown headed student who just so happens to sit next to him in every class they share. It was annoying how the shorter male had to pretend to like and not mind the brunette sitting right next to him.
Now, it wasn't the fact that Dazai had done anything wrong, really. Well, in the ginger's case it seems that everything he did was but that wasn't the problem. The problem was of what happened on the Sunday of the last chapter. The shorter male was just waiting for the suicidal maniac to confront him about it. He never did.
It's not that Chuuya really wanted him to ask him about. "No way!" the ginger would deny. It was just he knew it was coming, and the ginger was very impatient. And there was no way in hell that Chuuya would be the one to bring it up.
Now, the brunette sitting besides the ginger had thoughts that weren't so violent or alarming to the normal eye. He was just going about his school day, of course with thoughts of calculations and other nonimportant or important matters. But was calm even on the inside. He was trying to think of a way to oppose Chuuya of what had happened on Sunday. 'Go up to him and ask him yourself? Or let him come to you? Decisions, Decisions.' The brunette would think.
Though, that wasn't all that was on his mind, he was also thinking about gathering information on the girl that Chuuya and him had met... Higuchi was it? The brunette thought. And Akutagawa as well.. He'd look into it in his spare time, right now he was stuck in a classroom with a red head that he knew was at the brink of explosion.
'Maybe this wasn't such a good idea...' The brunette didn't know how long the ginger would last. It was almost impossible to be in a room with him. Without making a snarky comment for the fun of it just for shorter male worked up. It was... boring in Dazai's case.
But soon enough that would change due to the teacher assigning groups together for a group project du by the end of the quarter with three other students. Dazai and Chuuya were two of the four in one group.
The other students concerned in this group consisted of two other males, one named Doppo Kunikida, tall and slim, with dirty blonde bangs parted to the right with neat but rather spiky hair ending in a long ponytail. Wearing glasses, coming off as stern and serious and just as so with his personality. He was very ideal in the things he invested in despite being just a high school student.
Then we have the other student, Edogawa Ranpo, despite being the oldest out of the four, is the shortest with a fair complexion. He has a mop of messy black hair placed on his head with green eyes to accompany it. Ranpo is quite childish but is incredibly intelligent, though he has low grades due to his laziness and lack of motivation. Quite the opposite of the blonde.
Sitting with their desks pressed together they sat in idle silence while Kunikida jotted down in his notebook which he seemed to have carried everywhere. Apparently it was his notebook of 'ideals', whatever that means.
Deciding to break the silence, Dazai sits up in his chair, wondering what the best course of action would be. "So, when do you want to meet up for the project?" He asks smoothly.
The blonde one, Kunikida, Dazai recognizes, stops writing and snaps his book shut, placing his pencil down, turns to the brunette and adjusts his glasses before speaking, "Yes, that should be a thing to discuss.
"Since this seems to be an important project, I say we get started right away, as soon as possible. Now seeing as I have a tight schedule, this coming Monday would be best suited for me, I am sorry that I cannot comply to a time any sooner than that, I hope you understand."
Fairly proper for just a group project, the three other males thought in union. Dazai then shifts his eyes to the other dark haired male, Ranpo as Dazai recalled.
Ranpo was kicked back in his seat, eyes slid shut as if his attention had been elsewhere. He bounces back and forth on the stubs of his chair humming agreeingly before responding, "Yeah, Monday seems good."
The brunette turned to the last male of the group, who had been quite the whole throughout the whole class. As all eyes shifted to him - well, Ranpo's are closed and even if they were open he wouldn't care but whatever - the ginger sounded a "Fine with me," before going back to his sulking as the Bandaged male liked to describe it.
Dazai quickly responded with and okay and after that the four had begun organizing plans for when and where they'd meet up.
Following the rest of the week, it was as uneventful as the previous, no banter or fights concerning a short tempered ginger and arrogant brunette. Not even any fights at all for that matter, even psychically. Chuuya hadn't been to the nurse's office for a whole week, much to Kuoyou's surprise. She was both delighted and disheartened at the same time that her most frequent patient wouldn't visit her anymore.
Basically a normal week of school before the brunette ha arrived and before the incident.
But at the end of the Friday of that week. "Chuuuuyyaaaaaaaa!!!!!!" The short ginger hears from the distance, but is still loud and clear. Grimacing, he turns back, only to come face to face with a brown eyed brunette. "What?" He snaps, though the emotion is barley accessible to the human ear.
"Expect a call from me this coming Monday for the group project," the brunette stated before running off before the blue eyed male could stop him.
"W-wait!" Chuuya calls but it's already to late, the annoying (in Chuuya's case) male is already gone. He sighs, 'that bastard doesn't even have my phone number-'
Catching himself, Chuuya huffs and turns to his original direction to the way to his apartment.
'Just who the hell does that bastard think he is?"
Oh, what is that bandaged brunette planning?
A/N: Okay, so I know I haven't written in over a month, sorry 'bout that. Anyway, this chapter is kinda just a filler to just get the plot going for the next chapter. I don't know when the next chapter'll come, but hopefully it can be published before new years, who knows. So.... yeah.
