(Just so you know their aged up in this, mermaids live with their families till they find there 'love' or lover)

Izuku's P.O.V
We're not meant to go farther than the reef, our king, All might, says it's much too dangerous, for humans lurk the sky (the sky is the top of the ocean, not the same type of sky for humans) keeping us from leaving. I was playing with Todoroki as we swam right on the border of the reef, he tackled me as I laughed he started tickling me I rolled around yelling "stop!" Or "n-no more!" While in between laughs, I pushed him off laughing and catching my breath.
"You're mean Todoroki-kun." I said slightly glaring at him, and he just laughed, I looked beyond the reef, going to the end, sitting down with my green and black tail wrapped neatly underneath me. "Todoroki?" I asked, he looked at me.
"Hm?" He asked me, giving me approval to keep going.
"Do you ever wonder what's beyond the reef?" I asked, I could tell he was looking at me confused.
"What do you mean? His majesty says there's humans out there, which is why we must stay." He told me, I could tell he was holding up his finger while talking, and I sighed.
"Yes... but what if there's more than just humans? Like there's a whole world out there and there's only humans? There's no way!" I said holding up my arms and swimming up a little towards the sky. He sighed, flicking his half red and half white tail underneath him so he'd come up to where I was, grabbing my hands and pulling me down.
"Izu, we both know it's too dangerous. Plus what could be living beyond the reef? Everything we need is here! And it's safe." He said, brushing some hair from my face, I pushed his hand away.
"That's what you alway say..." I said turning back to the end of the reef.
"Izu... we both know I'm just trying to protect you... isn't that what your mother would have wanted..?" Todoroki-kun asked, years ago my mom traveled beyond the reef to get some supplies that were muchly needed, while out she was mistaken for a fish, and killed. A year before that, my father was thrown out of the kingdom for trying to kill a man, and threatening a child, never to be seen again. (Endeavor is a good father in this story.) Todoroki told his father about me, and Endeavor quickly offered to share his home with me. I was taught the same as anyone was taught, never to go beyond the reef, you'd be killed, or taken by humans, never seeing anyone you love again. This hurt me seeing as I wanted to see my father, but it was forbidden.
"Yeah... I guess..." I answered, and he sighed, knowing pushing up getting ready to swim away.
"Be home by dinner.. Ok..?" He asked, I nodded, still looking at the reef, I felt water push on my back as he swam away. I looked around, I held my breath as I edged closer.
"There's more beyond the reef.." (Moana reference 😂) I whispered, I let my tail flick lightly behind me. "I just have to be brave..." I whispered, pushing myself over the edge, for some reason, I felt more free now that I was over the reef, I felt free to do anything. I swam farther away from the reef, making sure it stayed in sight. I heard more swimming behind me, I sighed and turned around. "I know... I'm sor-EEEEK" I turned around thinking it was Todoroki, then seeing a great white, I swam away as fast as I could, it followed me, I just hoped it would give up eventually. After swimming for about 10 minutes, I ended up hiding inside of a cave, waiting for it to go away. It was long past the time I was meant to go home. After about 5 minutes of waiting it went away, I slowly got out making sure it was completely gone, swimming away, I quickly realized that I was lost, looking around aimlessly at where to go. "I'm sorry Todoroki-kun... I should have listened..." I whimpered out as I layed down in a new cave, hoping someone would find me soon. The next day I roamed the huge sea we called our home, trying to find the reef again. A huge brown thing with small square holes came closer to me, it had a shadow of a whale and it came from above instead of the thing itself. I let curiosity get the better of me and I got closer, touching it. It warped around me, and I started fighting to get it off of me. It started pulling me up to the.. Sky? I tried to get out of it, pushing, pulling and trying to break it's arms (He thinks the rope is the net's arms.) I cried, though you couldn't tell. I have never been up to the sky, it's another rule, we can't leave the reef or go up to the sky, but now I'm being dragged up by this creature to the sky after I left the reef, being pushed into the sky, I stared at the brown whale with... HUMANS?!?!?! Oh dear god no! I pushed on the thing trying to get rid of it.
"Ohhhhhh look at this beauty~" The one with Yellow hair said, the purple hair slapped him on the head hard.
"Stop being weird Kaminari! Bakugou won't like you hitting on him!" The purple haired yelled, then turned back to me. "But at last... your right he is a beauty... will get us quite a bit from the king!" She yelled the last part, I tried to break it's arms, I pushed on them as much as I could.
"STAY AWAY!" I yelled, grabbing a sharp shell that was brought up with me, bringing it down on it's arms, it started to let me go, till the yellow head grabbed it and the shell, bringing the creature down to the back of the brown whale with me still trapped in it. I struggled for a long time, maybe a little too long, the two had so much trouble they had to have a man with black hair come help them, till they got me to the belly of the whale, where I sit now. I was quickly drying out, they had a small tub of water in the room I was using to keep me from drying out. I heard sounds from outside the door, it sounded like someone banging on the doors of houses back home, the door was opened, a Red haired man came in, he looked really friendly... but I knew better. I moved backwards the best I could with my tail. "STAY AWAY FROM ME!!!" I yelled, he bent down a decent amount of space between us.
"Calm down little mermaid." He said, I frowned slightly, 'I'm a merman...' I thought to myself, not saying anything. "What's your name?" He asked, and I looked away, not wanting to look at his bright smile.
"I-Izuku... I-Izuku M-Midoriya..." I whispered.
"Eijirou Kirishima!" He yelled, tons of confidence lining his voice. I smiled slightly, as I splashed a little water on my tail to keep it from drying out, putting my arms back in the barrel. I saw him take out something, though I didn't see what it was, he came closer, I quickly tried to move away, but he grabbed my tail, then I saw what he had, it was a small knife, tears filled my eyes.
"WAIT PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!" I yelled trying to move away. He took the knife to my tail, taking off one of the scales, it didn't hurt too much, sense we lose them once a month and then they grow back. (Kinda like a snake shedding it's skin) grabbing the scale he took off, he hummed in pleasure, left the room, with me crying and scared. 'Just when I thought I found someone nice..' I thought as I put my arms back in the water, trying not to cry again.
