It was Monday and I was walking home from school. The autumn leaves laying on the ground making an orange and brown masterpiece on the sidewalk. I always loved the color orange because in a weird way it felt like home. I wish I knew what home felt like. I had a physical one and some good friends, yet something always felt off, as if I wasn't fully secure in my life yet.
I finally made it home and my dad asked how my day was. I told him it was okay and made my way to my room. After working on schoolwork for what felt like days it was time for my other work, being the poor soul who had to find the worst fanfictions for other's entertainment. Why did these people want this? I wish I knew. As I scrolled through AO3 finding tags like "age play", "bus sex", and "anal bleeding" my phone started to buzz. It was the group chat my friends and I had.
Friend A: Did you guys hear about the new student that's coming tomorrow?
Friend B: Yeah my homeroom teacher said they'd be in our class.
New student? Friend B and I have the same homeroom class, I must've zoned out. Still, I don't know why they're so invested, it's just another student.
Vic: Did he say anything about the new student?
Friend B: Just that she transferred from another school across town.
I had just realized it was dark outside so I checked the time and it was eleven-thirty. I decided to make the new installment of AO3 tags and call it a night. While I was asleep I had a strange dream. I was alone in a dark hospital and I could hear crying in the distance. I tried to follow the sound in the pitch-black surprisingly not bumping into anything when I got to a corner that was fully lit. When I got to the edge of the wall the crying stopped and I peered my head looking to see who was there. No one was there, just a hospital gown and a flower I couldn't identify before waking up.
