Bliss’s POV:
I wake up to an empty room and can’t help but wonder where Raven went. I get out of bed and notice a note and pick it up. Well I guess that explains where Raven went I smirk and shake my head. I grab my towel and go into the bathroom. I turn the water on as hot as I can stand and step into the shower. After my relaxing shower I get out and walk over to my clothes. I throw on a red spaghetti strap with an off the shoulder Hollywood Undead shirt, black skinny jeans, and black Vans. After I am finished getting dressed I feel the need to explore. I write a quick note to Raven just in case she comes back and I am not here. I walk over to the door and open it and am surprised to see Raven’s dad standing there with his hand raised ready to knock. I look to where he is looking and see Raven walking back to our room and she looks just as surprised to see her dad as I am. Well so much for exploring.
“I was just coming to ask if you and Bliss would join Raphael and I for lunch and we could explain a few things” Raven’s dad James says.
“Um sure I guess if Raven wants to go” I say and James looks at me and then back at Raven.
“Yeah if Bliss wants to go” she says and we smile at each other.
“Okay we will meet in the front of the school at 12 don’t be late” he says and walks off.
“Okay spill” I say dragging Raven into the room.
“I don’t know what you are talking about” she says.
“Raven don’t give me that. You went out with Dimitri this morning and I want all the details.”
“We had breakfast that’s it” Raven says.
“Right breakfast” I say but drop the subject but still not believing her.
“What it was just breakfast” she says still in denial. I just laugh and shake my head.
“Come on let’s go and get this lunch over with” I say heading for the door and Raven following.
As we walked to the front of the school we passed a few hallways. The last hall we passed before getting to the door had 4 kids making out. I nudge Raven and nod towards the kids. As we get a better look it is none other than Skyller and Dimitri making out with 2 blonde bimbos. Just before they can notice us we quickly walk away and almost run into Raven’s dad, James.
Raven’s P.O.V.
“Hello Daddy.” I grin trying not to laugh.
“Raven why are you and Bliss Flushed.”
“It’s nothing Daddy. Let’s go eat I need a nice big breakfast.”
“Were having lunch Rea, what’s going on?” Dad looked at me annoyed
“Nothing just was in such a rush not to be late I forgot the time.” I lied knowing he knew I was.
“Alright let’s go, Raphael will be waiting.”
“Alright.”Bliss and I said in Unison.
I couldn’t help but feel me and Bliss were walking into our execution. Dad is still on my shit list. I can believe that I had extended family all these years. That mom has sisters, I have cousins. It’s still a lot to take in but it’s worse for Bliss. I hate that we could have prevented all of this. I still think I’ll hunt down all those sick basterads that hurt her.
“Rea were here.” Dad says looking concerned
“Huh… sorry Daddy was lost in thought.” I look at him with a small smile
“Hello girls. James.” Reapel says with a nod to my father and small smile to us.
“Shell we go sit.” Dad says.
“Yes I am starved. Breakfast was just not enough for a growing shifter like me.” I grin excited to eat something.
“I bet I can eat more then you.” Dad laughs challenging me
“It’s on old man.” I smile
Even when I’m mad at daddy he’s still my dad he has stayed there by my side when I was first learning how to control my power. He’s here now that Im dealing with well whatever all this.
I couldn’t help but smile at him when we went to sit at the table.
As we set at the table looking over the menus, Rapheal gives me and Bliss a very serious look. I swear all I could think is we must be in trouble for last night.
“I think there are something’s we should explain to you,” He smiles, “since you didn’t grow up in this world.”
“Yes there are a lot of things you don’t understand because you were sheltered.” Dad says wearily.
“Just get it over with.” Bliss scowls at them.
‘But Im hungry!” I frown
“Didn’t you just eat?” Bliss looks at me shocked
“Hello shifter that was a whole half hour ago.”
“Are you Serious?”
“Once again things you don’t understand.” Daddy frowns at her
“At least an appetizer, Please Daddy?” I wine
“Fine.” Dad said with a smirk on his face.
“Yay I want cheddar biscuits.” I smile.
“Spoiled.” Bliss mumbled under her breath
I looked at her mouthing Nu ah. She rolls her eyes at me. I can’t help but smirk
“Can we get back to the discussion?” Raphael says annoyed.
“Sure." I smile happy that my food is coming.
"Well there are things that happen to all young paranormal adults. I guess you can say it’s similar to puberty.”
I look at Rapheal and say quickly,” can you wait until I eat something, don’t want to lose my appetite.
“Fine.” Raphael rolls his eyes at me.
I can see where Bliss gets it from. I can’t help but smile to myself. As if the staff read my mind the food arrives at the table.
“Yay.” I yell.
“May I continue now?” Raphael says flustered.
“Yup.” I say biting into a biscuit.
“All paranormal have a mate…” He begins
“Let’s talk about sex baby...” Bliss suddenly whispers into my ear
All of the sudden I feel the biscuit go down the wrong hole while swallowing.
“Wrong Hole.” I scream
"I can solve the problem.” I suddenly hear Demitri sat.
I look at Bliss red faced only to see and hear Skylar say, “That’s going to be us gorgeous.”
Bliss and I look at each other and roll our eyes in unison say, “No!”
“Wow, you just got rejected.” Lilith says laughing.
All of the sudden I can’t help but laugh pretty soon bliss is joining in.
“I give up. I can’t deal teenagers.” Raphael screams
“Well obviously you’ve never raised one.” Bliss says smugly
We all sit there quietly watching Raphael walk away. I look at my dad and he’s sitting there shaking his head.
“All I have to say is training starts tomorrow early and next month you’re moving into your own house. So don’t get comfortable. If you all choose to be unprepared that’s your doing not ours.”
“What?” we all say confused
“You’ll see.” Dad says walking away shaking his head still.
