"I'm late! I'm late! I'm late!" I screech. Jeramy is probably waiting outside for me and I'm ten minutes late! I rush past my mirror and stop. I take a few steps back, to stare at my reflection.
"Ah!" I grew a pimple on my forehead, my hair is nasty and to top everything off I smell worse then the girls washroom. I walk over to my closet when all of the sudden...crap! I shuffle to my washroom. No! No! No! No! No! I got my period. Well today's just perfect isn't it! I throw on a pair of jeans and a hoody that's way to big for me. I put some make up on to cover the Mount Everest on my forehead. I slip on wedges and curse when I relies my feet are hideous. I then put on my running shoes and dash down the stairs.
"Whoa! Slow down. Your going to fall." My mom says as she is putting on her jacket. She's acting like nothing ever happened last night. I would say something but if she forgot, I don't want to remind her.
"I'm late. I've made poor Jeramy wait outside for, like, forever." I run into the kitchen and pick up an apple.
"Hi Jeramy!" I say running out into the living room. I freeze. Jeramy? I turn around and Jeramy is sitting at the island.
"Good morning Morgan! Ready for school?" He says while getting up. I place my apple down and steady my self against the counter. Him, in my house, in the morning. Well it's not exactly how I dreamed this moment but you take what you get. But what is he doing here?
"Good morning." I say.
"Your mom let me in." He tells me as if he's read my mind
"Yes, I didn't want him to freeze. Plus he came to walk you to school and you weren't up so I told him to wait here for you." My mom says as she kisses me on the forehead goodbye.
"Well I guess we can leave for school." I start to walk to the door when Jeramy say, "you forgot your apple" he tosses it to me and I catch it. He walks past me. I study the apple like it means something that I'm forgetting. I shrug and he holds the door open for me. Together we leave for what will be the best day of school.
(Authors Note: For all my Greek Mythology fans you might know this and already have the "feels" but for all those who don't know... In Ancient Greece when someone throws an apple at you, it signifies a marriage proposal!)
