"Okay, so what should I call your parents?" Stiles asked, his leg shaking up and down dangerously besides my own.

"How about Nick and Talia?"

"A-Are you sure? That seems to informal, I mean they don't even know me yet" Stiles practically jumped when they sealed the airplane door shut "O-Okay how about Sir, and Ma'am. Your mothers old enough to be a ma'am right? I know women get offended by things like that. It's one of the few things I know about women if you know what I mean" he scoffed towards the end.

That was what put the whole puzzle together for me so I decided to drop my complimentary magazine to my blanketed lap "You're scared"

"Wh-What? Me? Scared? Please--Okay maybe I'm just not fond about being in a piece of metal hundreds of miles in the sky"

"Thousands. Thousands of miles"

Stiles was quick in shoving my hand from his thigh "You know what babe, surprisingly enough, you're not really helping"

"Sorry. Think about something else, think about that project coming up. Have you decided what you want to do your project on?"

"A portrait- oh god what was that? Turbulence? I read about that"

"Sti. It was just us taking off. We're in the air now"

Surprisingly enough he switched his gaze out the window and saw the distance between the ground and himself growing farther and farther "R-Really? That wasn't so bad"

"Exactly. I told you, now kiss me and tell me you were wrong"

Leaning over the middle arm rest Stiles' nimble fingers latched on to my chin forcing my face towards his. He pressed his mouth on mine, sucking generously at my bottom lip "You were right Hale. You are always right"

"Th-That's better" I tried, not wanting to show my sudden flustered state. As best as we could we some how managed to snuggle for the rest of the flight. It looked as though Stiles' fear had subsided and allowed him to catch a nap.

It only took a light shake to wake Stiles once the plane had touched down, I had wondered how the landing didn't manage to wake him up. My parents stood waiting with a sign that read "Derek Hale" and when I trained my eyes to look harder Stiles' name was on there too, sitting in parenthesis.

"Mom! Dad!" Standing idly by Stiles watched and waited as I greeted my parents. They had looked the same since I had last seen them just earlier in the year, Dad still looked tired and overworked whereas mom was smiling brightly, just happy to have me in her arms again.

"Aw sweet poo! I'm so happy to see you" AS best I could I threw a glare Stiles' way wordlessly warning him to never use the nickname. Something told me he wasn't going to listen.

He was quiet the entire way home. Aside from when mom bugged him with trivial questions, even then his answers were limited. Apparently it didn't take adderall to tone him down, his nerves were doing that just fine. For a moment, we caught a glimpse of one another and the smile he offered me was anything but real.

The lived in family home was empty when we finally arrived, signaling that we had been the first to arrive. I was thankful enough, it meant a chance to breathe between the flight and family suffocation.

Stiles had finally spoke the most he had since he had woken up from the flight. Hiking his duffle bag up his shoulder he started with a gentle smile "Um, I apologize but where am I sleeping? I think I should wash off that flight"

"Oh Derek's room is down hall, the last door on the left"

He looked at me then back towards the parents in front of him "Derek's room?"

The scoff that left my mother was almost comical as she pat his shoulder gently. Dad was shaking his head with a grin as well as he continued to venture further into the home"It's fine Stiles. We aren't those oblivious parents I'm well aware you two have probably shared a bed before"

"Mom!"

"Oh hush and show him where your room is"

I sighed, pinching at my nose and wondered at exactly what age I'd stop being embarrassed by my mother "Um, just go to the door at the end of the hall babe, I'll be right there" Thanking Talia one last time he offered my arm a quick squeeze before he was snagging my own bag and going on his way.

Stiles had barely made it out of the entryway before my dear mother was leaning in. Her red lips were turned up into a large smile I hadn't seen in a while and she began to rave "He's very cute"

"He is, isn't he?"

"Very different from your other boyfriends" She tried to state casually.

"You've never met any of my other boyfriends"

"Your sisters have social media, they show me pictures" Sarcastically I threw my head back, it was to show that I honestly wasn't surprised "But you did bring up a good point. Why'd you bring him home?"

"I like him"

"And you didn't like those other guys?"

"I really like him...He's different"
