I hummed to myself as I sat against the tree, while writing aimlessly in my notebook. They were song lyrics, but I didn't really notice what exactly I was writing about. Korosensei let everyone out on a break, since the weather was nice. He said something about "junior high students need fresh air!"

"What are you writing about?" I quickly woke up from my trance, feeling my short gray hair fall in my face.

"Jesus, Karma, you scared me! What happened to 'hello'?" I argued, looking him straight in the eyes. "Anyways, I'm writing about... well, let me check, I wasn't focused to be honest."

As I looked down at my notebook, my face began to heat up at Mach 20 speed.

Oh god.
I'm so stupid.
These lyrics..

Are about Rio!

"Oh, this is um.. just some song lyrics! You know, cause I, er, play the guitar," I sputtered out. It was an ok excuse, considering I did play the electric guitar in my free time.

"Who's it about? You're crush~?" he teased. I fucked up.

"What does it matter to you?" I boldly said, realizing that two can play at that game. The hot sun beat down on my already red face, which made me even more flushed.

"Well, it'd be kinda bad if you liked the same person as me-" he said, cutting off his own sentence. Just the information I need to finally have the upper hand in antagonizing him.

"You're kidding! I never saw you as the person to be interested in crushes," I choked out while holding in my laugh. Karma, a romantic? In his dreams!

"And I never saw you as a lesbian, but look where we are," he coolly stated.

"You caught me!" I gasped, with a fake-shocked look on my face. Though I never said it out loud, I always thought it was obvious I liked girls. Then again, straight guys aren't exactly the smartest.

"Well, the lyrics do mention a 'she'," he shrugged as if it was nothing. "But you never answered my question, who is it?"

"Let's say ours at the same time, since you want to act like a detective," I grinned. With anyone else, I would be acting like an angel, but things were different with my closest friends.

"Alright, whatever you say. But there's one rule, we can tease each other about it," he smirked.

"I thought that was a given??" I said, tilting my head to the side. Well, at least it's confirmed: straight guys really aren't that bright.

"Right, ok. Three," he started.

"Two.." I continued.

"One.."

"Rio!" we said in unison.

"You're kidding me!" I exclaimed. There's no way. I expected this but he has a way better chance than me!

"Knew it~" he grinned, satisfied with his prediction. He was too good with his intuition, it was like he was a fortune teller in his past life.

"Hmph. It would be a real shame if Rio knew you like her," I sarcastically sighed, attempting to shut him up. Instead, I fueled the red-haired fire.

"Keep acting bold, I'm sure she'll like to know you like her, too," he teased back. "Chill out, though, it's not like I'm gonna make a move. She already has her eyes on Nagisa.

What a kind reality check.

"Well, let's just agree to never bring this up again," I said while waving my hand, trying to change the subject.

"No turning back now! You already agreed to teasing rights," he fake pouted. Shit.

"You're right. It would be fun to match make you two, since I already have zero chance..." It was true, she never gave me any hint that she liked anyone but guys, and I can read people pretty well.

"That's what you think. How about we see who can play matchmaker the best?" he hummed. That's Karma for you, always looking for competition. But he knows one thing best: I'm more stubborn then everyone on Earth combined. I then heard Korosensei ring the bell to signal class starting again. Next up was gym, the perfect place for this love game.
