everyone was now in the kitchen. vanya and luther sitting in chairs, allison standing behind vanya, diego standing behind luther, and klaus sitting on the table. as five was getting bread out he asked what the date was.

"the 24th." vanya answered.

"of what?"

"march." she answered again.

"good."

"so, are we gonna talk about what just happened?" luther wondered. five ignored him. "he's been 15 years." luther now standing. five scoffed.

"it's been a lot longer than that." five said in luthers face. then he spatial jumped to get marshmallows.

"i haven't missed that." luther mumbled.

"where'd you go?" diego asked.

"the future, it's shit, by the way."

"called it." klaus said.

"i should've listened to the old man." five went to get the peanut butter. "you know, jumping through space is one thing, jumping through time is a toss of the dice." five then looked right at klaus. "nice dress."

"oh, well, danke!" klaus replied.

"wait, how did you get back?" vanya ignored klaus.

"in the end, i has to project my consciousness forward into a suspended quantum state version of myself that exists across every possible instance of time."

"that makes no sense." diego spoke up.

"well, it would if you were smarter." five started spreading the peanut butter on his sandwich. diego got up but luther shot him right down.

"how long were you there?" luther asked.

"forty-five years. give or take."

"so what are you saying? that you're 58?" luther asked a question again.

"no, my consciousness is 58. apparently, my body is now 15 again." five finished making his sandwich.

"wait, how does that even work?" vanya wondered.

"delores kept saying the equations were off." five took a bite of his sandwich. "bet she's laughing now.

"delores?" five was questioned by vanya.

"guess i missed the funeral." five now ignored vanya.

"how'd you know about that?" luther questioned.

"what part of the future do you not understand?" five asked. "heart failure huh?"

"yea." "no" diego and luther said at the same time.

"nice to see nothings changed." five acknowledged. he started to walk away.

"uh, that's it? that's all you have to say?" allison asked.

"what else is there to say? the circle of life." five stopped. "oh and uh- where's char?"

"um you should go ask pogo." klaus trailed off.

"ok." five said but it came out more as a question.

five was in his room now looking at his closet. he figured to change before he went to find number eight. he looked at his uniforms.

"ah, shit." he grabbed a uniform and changed.

he walked over where he saw pogo enter charlottes room.

"pogo?"

"yes. why hello there master five." pogo said surprised when he saw five.

"what are you doing?"

"i have to wake miss charli up from her coma." five winced at the word coma.

"what happened how long was she in a coma for?" five questioned.

"she got very sick after you left. she was in a coma for almost 15 years. she was put in a coma around a month after you left. master reginald before he died found a cure to wake her up and when she does she will be healthy. it was masters idea to wake her up after he died. you can come in to be with her when she wakes up." five nodded and walked in the room.

there she was. laying in her bed with some wires on her. it was like at a hospital. i stood next to her. she looked the exact same. pogo took out a needle. he put it in her upper arm near her shoulder.

her eyes shot open.
