There was one thing Leo and Will didn't share with their friend. And yeah, it was kinda a game changer kind of secret.

For Percy to live, they had to die.

As dark as it sounds, it wasn't their choice. To get into this reality was easy, and they assumed hazel was waiting for them to come out, but it wouldn't happen.

The moment Percy got back in control, the plane of existence they were in would fade. It would be like Leo and Will never existed, even to those they loved.

There was no preparing for that, so the two decided not to mention it.

"So what are we supposed to do now?" Percy asked, gesturing to the wide screen. "I'm still stuck in here while he's out there. And I've tried, trust me,"

"Well Hazel said we had to get you to chant something and as long as you truly want to leave you can," Will explained.

"Okay. Well then what's the chant? I can do it real quick and then everything will be done. The two of you will be alright though, won't you?" Percy double checked.

Will and Leo looked at each other before Leo nodded and gave a phony smile. "You know, you won't even remember we were ever in trouble,"

"Yeah. We'll just skip your mind," Will added.

Percy looked at them each for a long time, studying both of them as he realized something wasn't right. "You two are acting weird,"

"Us? Weird?" Leo's voice was two octaves higher than it should've been. "We've never been weird a day in our lives. Isn't that right William? I mean will,"

"Yeah. Totally," Will matched Leo in pitch. "Besides, weird is just a side affect of being awsome. Not that we're weird. We aren't. Say, it's getting hot in this empty void. Maybe you should do the chant,"

Percy grabbed the sheet of paper Will handed him and slowly repeated it. "I'm done with being a slave, no promises I'll behave. Just let me out and leave me be, let me go back to bring me,"

The three of them waited for a while, but nothing happened. Percy threw his hand up in the air, "great! The stupid thing didn't work!"

"Percy?" Leo said and approached his friend. "Do you think maybe it's the fact that you don't want to go back? That you like the idea of not having to worry or save anyone for a change?"

"What? That's impossible," Percy said before sighing and burying his face in his hands. "I don't know. Maybe? I just, I always have the world on my shoulders,"

"Well maybe you can let someone else help you. Help Nico, save him. Save one more person, and then you're done. Then you can relax,"

Percy nodded and let out a short and shaky breath as he turned to the screen. I'm done with being a slave, no promises I'll behave. Just let me out and leave me be, let me go back to bring me,"

He was whisked away. Leo and Will felt what was coming. It was like the world was draining them of every gg big they had. Their feelings were disappearing, their memories, and then there was nothing.

No one to remember them, and no one to be remembered.
