Izuku Midoriya (Deku) x Reader one-shots

Both Deku and the reader are childhood friends and are both quirkless, this is taken place in like 5th grade.

"Come on Izuku! It's almost time!" You say while running down the sidewalk. 

"I'm right behind you!" Izuku calls out while trying to keep up with you. 

You both just got out of school and was trying to make it home in time to watch "The All Might Show."

You guys made it to your house and both rushed through the door, barely having time to take off your shoes. 

"Did we make it?!" Izuku asked while landing on the couch. 

"With two minutes left to spare!" You both high five and turned on the TV.

This was the usual routine. You both would go over to each other's houses to watch the new episode. You two were best friends for as long as you could remember, you both had a lot in common and it would have each other's backs.

The main thing that made you two similar was that you didn't have a quirk either. 

You didn't let it bother you as much, but when Izuku didn't get his quirk, he didn't take it as well as you did. He was mute for a while and slipped into a depression.

Which was kinda fucked up for a five-year-old to go through. 

And being the friend that you were, you did everything you could to cheer him up.

Flashback 

"Can Izuku come out to play?" You asked Inko. 

"I'm sorry honey, he still won't come out of his room." She says.

You looked up at your mom and back at Inko. "Can I try to cheer him up?"

Inko gives a sad smile. "Of course you can, honey?" 

You made your way to Izuku's room and knocked on the door when you didn't answer you opened the door anyway and saw him sitting in the dark, watching the All Might video on loop.

"Izu?" You say softly.

You walked over towards him and climbed into the chair since you two were small enough to fit in.

"Izu?"

He turns to you with the same plastered expression on his face. 

"Why doesn't anyone believe in me?" He asked.

"I still want to be a hero, why doesn't anyone believe in me?" 

You puffed out your cheeks and wiped the tears off him. "Don't believe those meanies! You're strong!" You say.

That's when you wrap your arms around him and hug him tight.

That was almost five years ago. And you two were still as thick as thieves, and you protected your fellow Otaku friend, even if that meant getting detention for fighting. 

Once the show was over you got up from the couch. "Izuku, you got the rest of the boxtops?" You asked.

"Sure do! Do you think it'll work?" He asked while going into his backpack.

"I'm sure."

You two were sending in boxtops to win a collecter's item of an All Might action figure.

(Omg, I remember sending in boxtops, good times)

"I'm gonna go grab the stamps and then we can send it in the mailbox down the street." You say.

After licking and stamping a few envelopes you two were walking down the street to send it. "Fingers crossed, we'll get that action-figure." You say.

That's when the two of you heard an explosion from a few blocks away.

"Izuku! Come on!" You say while running towards the sound.

"Wait (y/n), we should be careful." Izuku says.

"We might miss a hero fight." You say.

"Wait for me!"

You two arrived at the scene and saw a few heroes fighting off a villain.

"Kick his ass! Kick his ass!" You cheered.

"You can do it!" Deku cries out.

That's when you pulled out your camera and taking pictures of the fight. "I'm gonna sell these on the internet." You say.

"This so awesome! look how strong he is!"

After the fight, you two were walking down the street. "That was one of the best fights I've ever seen."

"You say that every fight." You smirked while nudging his shoulder.

"And everyone is more exciting than the last."

That's when you stopped walking.

"What is it (y/n)?"

"Let's get into U.A. when we're older."

"Serious?"

"Of course, we have every right to attend that school like anyone else." You say.

"Let's do it!"

You held out your pinky. "We'll be in it together?"

Izuku wraps his pinky around yours. "Of course."

Then you two continued to walk home.

( I'm freaking 20, and I still take pinky promises seriously)
