This was all so confusing to me. My parents left me years ago. I thought that they would never come back.
"If you're really my parents why would you wait this long to come back for me?" I ask out of pure anger.
I watch as the woman's face falls. Maybe what I said was a bit hurtful.
"We're so sorry honey. We didn't know where you were." the woman claims.
She reaches out her hand and grabs mine.
"And now we have found you and we can be a family again. Just like it used to be. Your father and I have missed you so much." she says looking into my eyes.
I didn't know anything about these people. How could I even trust them?
"Prove it to me that you are my parents." I say to them.
"Okay then we left you because money was tight. I could barely pay our bill as you may or may not know your father and I were in a fight and weren't living together. I had no other choices. I wanted what was best for you." the lady brakes down I to tears.
It really was her. That was enough to prove it for me. She knew everything.
"Mom... Dad..." I say running over and hugging them.
"I've missed you so much. I thought I had lost you and you wouldn't come back." I saying to the hug.
"We would never leave you."
