Pulling up a chair for herself she sat opposite Draco at the table and picked up a slice of buttered toast between her first finger and thumb, taking a bite, chewing and then swallowing before asking, "You wanted to see me?"

"Yes dear it's about your tutor who's unfortunately fallen ill, therefore myself and Lucius thought it would be best to transfer you to Hogwarts." Upon hearing the word "Hogwarts" she choked on another bite of toast and had to take a sip of water.

"Excuse me? After everything you've taught me about blood status you want me to mix with juggles and Merlin knows what else!" She dropped the slice of toast she was holding, her appetite vanishing within a flash. "My tutor isn't ill, it's too suspicious. I'm 16. I can't go it's too late."

"Lucius can sort that dilemma out, working for the Ministry of Magic. No buts you're going and that's final." Narcissa said sternly.

Sighing for the second time that morning she slumped back on her chair.
"Don't worry Esme, you don't have mix let alone talk to any mudbloods, you'll be Slytherin like us it's only for people with a pure bloodline." Draco said finishing his glass of apple juice before standing up.

"But I'm n-"

"Come Draco, let's go to the Parkinson's." Narcissa interrupted her before her could say "not pureblood". Draco walked around the table and took his mother's hand before they apperated elsewhere.

She sat up annoyed and her eyes glided over to Lucius in a slight glare.

"It's for the best. Okay your tutor is not ill, more likely dead. It was your fathers decision. Office?"

Rolling her eyes she stood up, the sound of her chair scraping the floor, "What have I got to lose!" She stepped over to the side and pushed her chair in, walking down to the end of the table and then walking with Lucius to the office.

"You look very pretty today."

"Stop flirting to try and get me in a better mood you're married Lucius. Although your quite handsome yourself today." She smiled a bit.

"Quite? I find that quite rude Miss Riddle." He said pretending to be offended.

Laughing, her eyes sparkling she ran a hand through her soft dark hair feeling a blush creep on her cheeks. Then looking over to him she saw him smirk knowing he had made her smile.
