It was another morning, right after our Thanksgiving, we had to go back to school. Bella was already up doing her daily routine as was I. I did my hair and looked in the mirror. I thought to myself, Will I be noticed more often because I'm Ukai's daughter, no, maybe even because I'm- My thought was interrupted. "Lilla, can you go wake up your father?" Mom asked, "Yes mom!" I woke up my father and went into my room. Bella was in there sitting on her bunk. "Hey Bella?" I asked, "Yes?" "Will you do my make-up again? It made me feel really good about myself last time." "Sure! Whatever makes you happy." We laughed and talked until it was time to go.
I was walking at school with my head down, being pushed around in the halls, and never speaking unless it's in class. Today was a bit different though. Someone grabbed my arm and tugged me into a separate hall where not a lot of people were. "Aren't you Bella's sister?" I looked to see who it was, it was skunk kid. "Yes..? What do you want?" I asked Noya, "Well I know Bella is really good in her subjects, so that means you are too right?" "I guess.." "I know she wouldn't notice me at all, so, will you help me study?" I just stared at him, me? helping you? the boy's volleyball libero to where there is only one? a second year asking a first year for help? "I guess I can help you sometime." "Sweet! Meet me outside of the school after classes!" I nodded and went to my classroom.
It was after school now, I went outside of the school and sat on the bench. 5 minutes later someone jumped over the bench and sat down. "Ready to go?" Noya asked, I nodded. We walked to the shop and when we got there, Bella was doing her shift. "Hey Lilla, what are you do-" "Hey Bella! We are here to study, want to come with us?" Noya interrupted, "Uhm... no thanks." I just grinned at Bella, she turned away and went on her laptop. We got into the dining room, pulled out our books, and started studying. Man, he doesn't know a lot.
We were studying for an hour when mom came down, switched with Bella for shifts, and Bella came over, "You guys want a study snack?" Bella said in a babying voice, "No I'm fine, thank you though." I replied. She nodded and started to walk up, "Wait! Should we go up too Lilla?" Noya asked, "No.. not if we absolutely need too." "Oh ok, yeah I guess you are right mamma's." Noya responed. Mamma's? Who in their right mind calls you 'mammas'? that's very uncomforting when I only know this child for a couple days. We studied for a few more hours and Noya left. "Bye Noya!" "Bye Lilla, tell Bella I said bye too!" he said as he walked out. I turned around and sighed, walked upstairs and told Bella.
"Sit down now Lilla, we need a girl talk." "Yes?" "Why was Noya here?" "He needed help studying and he said you wouldn't help him so he asked me, thinking we have the same smarts." I said. Bella scoffed, "Is that all?" "Yes..?" "That seems odd.." "Why?" "If I'm being honest, no one ever asks you for help. They would ask me," though that sentence hurt, it was true, "Yeah, I guess I never thought about that." We went into a short period of silence, "Night Lilla," "Night."
This is very short but, I know the plot I just need it to be in shorter chapters :)
