Yams Chapter 5

Last night was way to awkward, Bella made it seem like a bigger deal than what it was. Anyway I got up, got ready for school the next day and headed out to school. Bella always split up from me about half way to school, while I was walking by myself today I saw someone from the volleyball team! I could tell by his jacket!

When the boy turned around, It was Yamaguchi! He waved at me with his pure happy face. I waved back. "Hey Lilla! How is your morning going?" he said walking with me, "It's been okay, yours?" "Pretty good! Are you coming to practice today?" "Practice?" Is he talking about volleyball practice? Why would I go to that, it's not like I'm Bella. "I might go if you invited me!" He smiled, "Ask Bella too," he had a little blush, "Wait.. DO YOU LIKE HER??" "No no no! I guess I was just flattered at the 'friends giving' when she wanted to sit by me! I want to get to know her, plus you guys are Coach's daughters, I want to get to know you too!" "Mhm, I'll see." When I said that, we got up to the school, "Bye Yams! I'll let ya know what she says!" he waved, as well as I.

A few of my classes go by when the bell rings for lunch. I was going to go look for Bella, to tell her Yams wanted her at practice, when she pulled me outside, shes gotta stop tugging my arm, "Were you talking to Yams?" "yeah..?" I said in confusion. "what were you talking about?" "well he asked-" she cut me off, "actually don't tell me." she said, as she started to walk off, I grabbed her wrist and asked why she was so mad. "Well, wait, what were you guys talking about?" I rolled my eyes, "He invited us to watch practice, you more specifically." I told Bella. "really..?" she replied her eyes were shining as if she'd seen a diamond, "Yes he did. Will you be able to come?" she shook out of her gaze, and looked at the ground. She was thinking about something. "I think I can go.." "What do you mean, 'you think'?" "Actually I'll go! That's for sure!" I smiled, "good!" 

After that conversation, we both walked to the lunch room, "See you later Lilla!" she said parting ways with me to go sit with her buddies, I nodded and took my food to an empty lunch table. We both ate lunch, I saw her glancing at Yamaguchi a few times, he never saw it though. Yams would peek over at her too, but she didn't know. I feel something happening here.
