8. I need a psychiatrist.

I was sure even the customers I was to tend to would mistake me for a hard drug addict if they saw my blood shot eyes at six a.m.

I was sleep deprived.

I shook my head , on a second thought leaving the sign at the door to read closed and I lay my head on my desk for a good but short nap, after all , if I would die of exhaustion who would efficiently replace me ? I am the best veterinarian in the whole estate thanks to my rare animal telepathic skills , I'm not bragging just in case you suddenly deem me proud , I'm only stating the obvious undisputable fact.

I shut my eyes but an annoying tapping sound made my bloodshot eyes glare in the direction as soon as they snapped open. I rose from my warm seat , ready to lash out at the girl at the door. Surely ,can't she see the sign hung so boldly by the door ? I curse at my transparent glass walls as I yank the door of my vet store open but my anger instantly cools down at the adorable bundle before me.

I curse my soft heart , I've always had a weak spot for bunnies .

" What's wrong sweetie ? " I say.

" Dr. Mia, Tabby been stuck like this all night,she won't play , "

I take the brown furry bunny.

" Let me do some lil examination, "

Oh boy !

I smile , keeping silent as I approach the counter. I pick up a scalpel for the pure intention of scaring the cute animal.

Please don't ! I'm human !

I laugh as she squirms in my arms.

Nice try Taby, now sit still -

Wait ! You heard that ?

Yeah , funny Tabby sit still-

I'm not Tabby damnit! I'm human !

I crackle up and the young girl spares me a funny look.

" You'd make a cool friend , " I murmur.

Listen , You've got to believe me ! My real name's Sasha

The disease made you bonkers, bunny.

Please , believe me , I'll prove it.

Right , run me a bunny recipe.

Scary , but I think you'll have to slit the throat first , wash with hot water.

My eyes widen in horror , " You serious ? "

Yes ! I landed here by mistake . I was messing up with my dad's teleportation machine and I suddenly found my self trapped in bunny form ! That girl is my sister ask her about her other sister and see what she'll say .

I look at the girl , " You have a sister ? "

She nods.

" Where is she ? "

" Mummy kept her locked up coz she's been munching on carrots the whole night and jumping like a bunny , "

I stare at the bunny in my hands horrified.

See ?

I shake my head . I blame this on lack of sleep , if not , I'm crazy.

" I need a psychiatrist , "

" What ? "

" You heard me , "

" What about Tabby ? "

And that is how I ended up on my way to my dearest recommended psychiatrist, Dr. Smoke and a rambling bunny in my arms with the little girl beside me.
