Technology is a good thing but staring at the screen of a human hand cuffed to a phone had me thinking otherwise for a while . A proof of wicked human nature, turning everything good into evil. It was disgusting if not sad and so it had to be done.

I closed my eyes, bursts of energy from the buzzing wires on my head enhancing the strength of my rare ability, enlarging the network and tapping into minds of billions across the globe. It was dangerous and I was not shocked to feel my energy draining , maybe I would not survive it but the bridge would be crossed when I reach there.

I sighed . I could feel billions , I could hear the different voices in their different dreams and so quickly I hacked into those dreams . Building structures, modifying each individual into a spectator observing keenly the current global world.

I could see each individual's puzzled expression at a large moving mass engrossed in their phones not paying attention to those shouting for help near them. I could see each of their heartbroken expressions at bullied members in every social site . I could see each of their shocked expressions at bragging photos to the poor. I could see tears fall as the camera flashed at a suicide site and the masses carrying out with business as usual. I could feel their despair when a couple was being mugged openly in the streets. I could see their anger as they watched others quick to post tragedies for the sake of fame instead of lending a hand...

" Dr. Smith ? Call him back now ! "

The voice was distant.

" Oh no ! Call him back now, energy levels are too low ! "

Why are they panicking?

I opened my eyes a crack and stared at the screen infront of me...

A large mass holding back a suicidal man,

A woman reporting all beggars would be taken in by the government,

A mob intervening at a mugging scene,

People taking time to physically socialize ,

A bullying account blocked on a social platform.

It worked , I guess.

" Dr. Smith , can you hear me ? "

I'm too tired.

" Dr. Smith ? "

" Dr. Smith ? Oh ! Oh ! My God ! "

" Dr. Smith ! No ! "

" He's gone, the last dream bender but he made the world a better place, "
