Sugar, sprinkles, and a race.

I slipped on my new combat boots, and grabbed my new purse. Emerson, Sebastion, and Remington were waiting by the front door. They smiled and headed out on the street. The walk only took about five minutes. Now that I had let all of my emotions out, I felt happier than I had before. The shy was a perfect shade of blue. The birds were chirping, and overall, everyone seemed to be in a good mood. Once we reached the shop, I pulled out my little wallet. I counted my change. 6.73 exactly. Just enough for one cup. I pulled one from the stack, and filled it with cookies and cream froyo. (I couldn't tell what flavors the others got.) I headed towards the toppings bins. I chose cherries, oreos, caramel drizzle, and rainbow sprinkles.

I walked up to the cashier and was about to pay when Emerson handed the woman his card.
"You don't have to pay for me. I have just enough."

"Too bad. I was the one that suggested we go, and as I said, It's my treat." The cashier smiled at us. He handed over his cup and payed. We all headed outside to eat in the park. We picked a nice sunny bench and all sat down. I sat beside Emerson and Sebastion. Remington on the arm of the bench.

In-between bites, Remington would make jokes and we would all laugh. There were even points where I almost started choking, laughing so hard.  We all finished eating and threw away the empty bowls. "Now what are we going to do?" I ask, nervously.

"I know, lets go to the park and play like little children to run off this sugar." Remington started running ahead. I chased after him, having to stop after a second. Fucking dammit. I forgot my damn knee brace.  Remington turned around and looked back at me. I leaned down gripping my knee. "Are you okay? Whats wrong?"  Emerson and Sebastion looked at me concerned.

"I just forgot my knee brace. That's all. I shouldn't be running without it but I forgot to grab it." I caught my breath and stood up straight. "I'm good now. I just have to be careful."

Remington picked me up, swinging me onto his back. "Race you" he said, taking off running. Emerson and Sebastion chased after us, but we beat them to the swings. I jumped down and immediatly started pumping my legs. After getting about 5 feet in the air, I jumped off, landing with a loud thump. I rolled over and started laughing. Remington followed suit, and we all giggled like little kids.

I got up and half jogged over to the slide. "Hey, Emerson, wanna race me down the slide? Loser has to give the other a makeover?"

"Your on." He ran up the slide, sitting down. I counted down, and slid down as fast as I could. I beat Emerson by half a second. I jumped in victory.

We spent the rest of the day playing like little kids. At 8, we finally headed back to the house.

"Why don't we order a pizza for dinner?" Sebastion yawned. Everyone nodded in agreement. He walked towards the kitchen to order while we all took our shoes off and threw on some pajamas. I put on my warn flannel pants, and a over sized black hoodie. I quickly took my meds, counting how many I have left.

I walked back down to the living room, where Remington was putting in Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets. I sat on the couch,  pulling my knees to my chest, and laying my head on my stuffed Stewie. 20 minutes into the movie, the pizza arrived.

We all ate in silence, enjoying the movie.  I finished eating, and curled up again. I realized I hadn't messaged Nugget at all, so I pulled out my phone and sent him a quick message. ~Je t'aime. Désolé, je n'ai pas parlé de toute la journée. J'ai de grandes nouvelles demain.~

I set down my phone and started drifting off to sleep. The last thing I remember is being layed in my bed by Sebastion.
